sounds like Bryce Harper's intro PC in Philadelphia, where he said he wanted to bring a championship back to Washington!

The change in atmosphere is a direct effect. Nobody in the Nats locker room was upset by Harper leaving, unlike the reaction to Rendon's departure.

We are indeed a much better team than we showed against FAU. They were the best team in the conference this season to my eyes. We're a very young team, and did not deal with the pressure of a championship game well, for whatever reason. I have for years wanted to see UAB bowling in N'awlins, but I didn't want any part of y'all this season. We got you anyway. We'll see how it goes. I don't for a minute believe that this will be the cakewalk that many App fans seem to think it will be, but our offense has been spotty at best and a drag at worst. Thing is that they play the game on the field, and not on a message board, and funny thing happen out there.
We'll see.
Drink was handed the proverbial keys to the Ferrari when he took over last year. All of the key players on the team this year, and who are returning next year were Satterfield recruits, so Mizzou might get a rude awakening when he actually has to build a team who has been in the doldrums of the SEC for the past couple of seasons. He was a good steward of the team but he wasn't here too long to have contributed too much to the longer term I don't think. But that's the Tigers' problems now. I can't blame a father of four wanting to take a promotion which pays you 5x your current salary, but I think he's still unproven as a HC...and I'd say that even if he was coming back next season with the Mountaineers.
That said, it seems like the players already wrote him off before he was even announced as leaving and were openly lobbying for Clark to be the next HC. And apparently at 4:30 this afternoon that is going to be made official. I don't know how the talk in the locker room has been but it sounds more like Clark was a more cohesive factor to the team than what Drink was (preaching about creating a culture and not saying your team is being used as a stepping stone despite doing exactly that will do that) and I don't see this as being that big of a deal or concern like the rumors of Cincy taking our AD were.
App fans are disappointed in the selection but if you ask the level headed ones, we knew the rules. The best we could do was the Cotton Bowl and probably had it in hand...but we dropped the ball with Georgia Southern and so outside of the NY6, this is the marquee bowl, and until the Sun Belt can convince the MAC, CUSA or AAC to pit one of their conference champions against ours in a game it is what it is.
It should be a good game. I was genuinely upset about how you guys got the shaft a few years back when politics shut down your program, and was happy to see the Blazers not only come back but be competitive right out of the gate.

RE: App Coach to take Missouri Job
tks you for the post ,,,the new coach at mizzou will be an assit coach in the next 2 years
mizzou cannot play in the sec but the coach went for the $$$ ,,good for him
i was wishing for you guy to play in the cotton bowl ,,,
we got a great defense , but our offense is pathetic ,,,even sad
we are happy to play your guy and learn from it ,,most of this team will be back next year and maybe with a new OC
Go Blazers and i wish we can keep the score close

That is hilarious to me and was once Washington got that final out. Don't follow baseball media too closely.

I heard some of his intro presser on Finebaum. I thought to myself "If I were an Arkansas fan, I'd be scared to death". From what I hear, however, they ate it up. As you said, five times as much money, and that's Arky's problem, not yours.
This is either going to be a good old smash mouth football game or a blowout. I'm hoping that it's a good entertaining game, and no offense, that we win it. For what it's worth, if we beat y'all that would be the signature win on the season. I respect your program, and other than some idiot fans on twitter (which everyone seems to have some of) I have no animosity. Hope the kids play well, have a good time, and no one takes any major injuries. Good luck.

There should be no animosity for the Blazers from us. The only two teams our teams in CUSA we have beef with is 1. Marshall because they're an old-school rival from the SoCon days and 2. Charlotte because we were ticked off that they got invited to CUSA over us on the account that they happened to be in a bigger market (despite Boone also being in the Charlotte market) and their fans like to have an inflated opinion of their team and how it stacks up against us, lol.
It should be a good game, and may the best Coach Clark win!

Charlotte was a founding member of CUSA and had a history with current members
