Then the question is if they do, whether they enforce their rules or look the other way because it’s star players and a bowl game. Some schools spare no one when it comes to team rules, and others enforce them depending on how important the players are.

Historically speaking USU has worked on a 2 strike policy and this would be their first and only offense. They'll play. Everyone screws up. Hopefully they learn from it. It was especially bad for Love though...idiotic thing to do right before jumping to the NFL. No doubt this could hurt his draft stock.

That was my point. I assumed the university and the athletic dept. would have rules in place that they would follow. I do have to say I've never heard of an everybody gets one free pass rule before. Then use it wisely!

Can I get one? 04-cheers

I'm not happy with this turn of events and will be more than a little interested in the final disposition of the charges come December 30th. A friend close to the team tells me that Love did not partake but he was in the vicinity for sure - very poor judgement at the very least.

PS: Apparently the rule is that the head coach has jurisdiction in cases of first offense. Coach Andersen is quoted as saying the the "story is untruthful." But has offered no details.

I would urge all fans to visit youtube and look for the "rehab scene from halfbaked." Due to some rather explicit language I felt it best not to include a link in this family friendly forum.

#90 from USU just twisted Williams leg the wrong way while he was being held up by two other guys. That looked dirty AF.

Akron fan here. It is a first for me, but I'm rooting for the Flashes tonight.

You guys have a right to be proud of this team. Sean Lewis has done a fantastic job. When you pick the right head coach, things can turn around quickly.

Great game- - never thought I'd witness a bowl win!!! Kudos to staff and players. I do believe Crum was worthy of some recognition by the MAC - great game by this kid who played his heart out!

What a game. First senior class in school history that won't realize they played their last game until the celebration ends.

They kept making such great plays, fooling the cameraman a bunch of times.

A very strong argument could be made that he just finished the best season a Kent St QB has ever had. He'll finish with over 2600 yards passing and over 700 rushing. The school record for passing yards in a season is 2707. Nearly 70% passing. 20 TDs (2nd in school history) vs 2 INTs. 6 rushing scores. Came in with a QB rating of 156. I don't know that that's a school record, but between Davis, Cribbs, Edelman, and Keith the highest season was a 137 from Davis. Oh yeah, and a bowl win.

Crum rushed or passed for 436 yards. I wonder if that is a school record?
