Lest I be wrong, this is finals week and the once-defeated MBB team gets time off to rest and study.

The big story is whether or not the 2019 FB season is on total bye (aka season over.)

Of course, Murphy can head over to the Convo to watch Lincoln's Bates.

And, again, one can see the close relationship between Emoni Bates, his father and the EMU and Ypsilanti community.

His Father is an EMU alum.
People seem to think Emoni to EMU would be impossible.
He could already choose to go play HS basketball anywhere in the US, but he’s choosing to stay right here in Ypsilanti to play for Lincoln.
If the rules for the NBA don’t change, I would not be at all surprised to see him stay right here and further his legacy in Ypsilanti at EMU.

There will be a lot of D1 prospects playing tonight. Besides Emoni, Lincoln has about 3 others. River Rouge has a lot of talent too.

I'm sure Murphy will be there.

I am not one of them (who think that the chances of him going to EMU is less than the chance of the Detroit Tigers winning the 2020 World Series).

As I've suggested before this has the potential to be the parallel of LeBron James and Akron.

Many swear that LeBron would have gone to Akron had he not been able to go directly to the NBA.

LeBron and Emoni were/are two young superior athletes with very strong ties to their communities.

And, yet another pivot, another reason to be happy for the success of this year's MBB team is that it ensures Murphy's employment with EMU. Do not want a program losing and in turmoil. If EMU has a chance to come to EMU Murphy will be part of that story.

For those going to watch the h.s. basketball games at EMU here is a list of top prospects in MI. Will see a number of them play including a few from Ypsi Lincoln, Ann Arbor Huron, etc.
