RE: Rice WBB vs Texas Southern
Comparisons to last year. 2019-20 on top, 2018-19 on bottom. For the sake of the exercise, let's assume Schwartz = Iademarco and Swayze = Grigsby. Improvements in green, opposite in blue:
Ogwumike: 28.9 min, 14.5 ppg, 08.4 rpg, 3.3 apg, 3.3 topg, 36/18/82
Ogwumike: 32.4 min, 16.5 ppg, 10.5 rpg, 2.7 apg, 2.9 topg, 46/30/85
Mulkey: 26.5 min, 10.8 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 0.5 apg, 1.8 topg, 49/-/88

Wiggins: 30.4 min, 5.8 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 1.8 apg, 2.5 topg, 33/32/83

Smith: 27.5 min, 6.1 ppg, 2.3 rpg, 2.3 apg, 1.9 topg, 40/33/71
Schwartz: 25.0 min, 8.9 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 1.8 apg, 2.1 topg, 42/50/86
Iademarco: 30.1 min, 9.0 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 2.4 apg, 1.9 topg, 46/40/76
Swayze: 13.6 min, 7.1 ppg, 1.5 rpg, 0.6 apg, 0.8 topg, 35/33/75
Grigsby: 20.7 min, 7.3 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 1.8 apg, 1.1 topg, 46/44/78
Team: 60.9 ppg, 55.4 pa, 18.5 topg, 39/29/78, 35/28/72 allowed
Team: 65.9 ppg, 52.9 pa, 15.2 topg, 47/36/74, 35/28/66 allowed
Long story short, lotta blue and only a little green. We're allowed the *exact same* shooting splits as we did last year. The problem is that we're not scoring and we're giving other teams more possessions (offensive rebounding not included above but also a big problem). Not really too sure what the solution is. Having not been able to watch some of the games, it's hard to tell whether we need to operate with more freedom on offense or less. But Langley's gonna have to earn her money in conference play because a lot has gone wrong.
