Does Dabo keep his foot down hard on the gas to make a statement to the committee going forward? Because Vegas thinks Clemson is #1 and frankly I think as a Clemson fan it f'n sucks you gotta go out to Phoenix now instead of drive down I-85.

Maybe partially, but much like last night the pedal will be held down with the reserves in the game. They work just as hard as the starters and deserve their chance to shine on the big stage.

Hopefully Will Swinney gets enough run as a reserve to have 6 catches and 85 yards 05-stirthepot

As an aside, Clemson is 2-2 in the playoffs as the higher seed and wearing all orange. We are undefeated in the road whites/orange pants combo. 03-shhhh

I think Dabo will keep the metal to the pedal in both games. The semis and the finals just to prove a point. I hope they motorboat both teams by 50. It isn't like they aren't capable. Hell, ask Bama and this year's team is better than the one that took 'Bama to the shed.

We can't be sure they won't be ranked yet.

Quote:Isn’t ND contractually awarded a certain number of OB appearances? Where are they on this stipulation? This may be a good year for an ACC v ND OB.

1. No, they only have a maximum
2. Again, they can only replace the SEC or B1G team - never the ACC team

1 I was thinking there was a minimum of 2.

2 Correct. Since ND is beatable this year, thats why I say it would be a good year for an ACC v ND OB.

ND already had beaten Virginia this year.

The Orange Bowl wouldn't have wanted a rematch, most likely, even if it had been possible.

P.S. "Beatable" at 10-2 ? Also, ND is 14-2 versus the ACC in the past three years.

Not surprised if true. The Volunteers have a long history of avoiding teams they don't want to play (for whatever reasons).

Maybe Tennessee wanted to travel a little further than 2 and a half hours down the road?

They seem to have a thing about playing Louisville in football. However I believe this is the second time an SEC team has complained to the league office with regard to a bowl matchup with Louisville. The other time was LSU in 2014 I believe

Scoreless through nearly 3 quarters against the vaunted La Tech defense... and just threw an interception in their own end of the field

Canes, are you happy with Manny Diaz? or is he your Willie Taggart?

Walk-ons Independence bowl. The Canes must have taken this literally.

Amazing stat showing Miami’s futility against a G5 opponent. The team shows up when they feel like it and they didn’t feel like it their final three games. Diaz should return his season salary or risk being charged with theft with that talent level.

Impersonating a head football coach - not a crime in Florida, apparently.

Anyone in Tallahassee over the last few years could tell you that.

Greatest factoid... ever?

So, if Miami wins a bowl, the sponsor goes out of business within 2 years?

No doubt Walk-ons is grateful the Canes lost this one.

That’s got to feel like a hollow victory for Pitt. What happened to that vaunted Pitt defense?

Can we get a refund on Miami? This definitely isn’t what we were sold.
