We still seem to have a good shot. If Boise were to blow Hawaii away, then they may remain ahead of us, but if we win on the road at Memphis I like our chances to make a NY6 Bowl. Not sure I like our chances in the NY6 game this year, but regardless it’s been a great year for our team and there is a lot to like moving forward.

He wasn't even the best part of that team. BTW this UC team's D is better much better than the 2009 squad, no depth and they got worn the **** down the 2nd half of the season.

There is no freaking way that if we beat the #17 team on their home field and Boise beats Ha-why-ya that they can keep us out.

Pretty sure that this all but guarantees the AAC Champion will be playing in Dallas. Only chance that doesnt happen is a 1 point win by us coupled with a 101 point win by Boise.

As it should be. The football in the conference is a measure above the rest of the G5

All that this whole episode goes to show is that the only way to move forward determining a national champion in college foot is a 14 team tournament with 10 conference champs plus 4 at-large bids with the top two seeds getting first round byes.

If you are going to go to 14 you might as well just go to 16, with 10 conference champs, and 6 at large bids. This would be so awesome.

I don't know. Boise has strong name recognition...not a guarantee we jump them, but nothing we can do but win. Was pleasantly surprised we were still ahead of App St. So just have to worry about Boise if we win.

2009 team’s O was on a completely different level as well. 2009 team playing Florida was like us this year playing tOSU with similar results.

I still believe we would easily jump them if we beat Memphis (We probably would only be 1 spot ahead of them, but it would be a significant gap I would believe). AAC is getting plenty of respect with I believe 5 or 6 teams getting votes. Only losses would be to O$U and a top 20 Memphis, both on the road. Plus we played a tough non-conference schedule and I believe the beat down we put on Marshall on the road while Boise barely beat them at home would be the tie breaker if it was close. We would probably have 3 wins better than anything they would have.

Nah bring your D and you can compete. UC was down on the road 17-7 to a top ten Memphis offense, and the D held Memphis scoreless for 6-7 possessions. Memphis has 4 NFL locks on offense skill positions. If UC holds Memphis to 3 TD drives of 70 yards or longer, win special teams we win.
