Seeing as how Bama is now #12, it's unlikely, but still a possibility, depending on how the CCGs go this weekend.

If it is Memphis w/o their coach, they will feel our 2010 Sugar Bowl pain.

Here's what I think. LSU beats Georgia, knocking them out of the CFP. Okie beats Baylor, and jumps Utah into the #4 spot.

Utah vs. Wisconsin in the Rose.

Georgia vs. Baylor/Penn State in the Sugar.

Virginia vs. Florida in the Orange.

Memphis/Cincy vs. Baylor/Penn State/Auburn/Alabama in the Cotton.

Florida in the Cotton. PSU in the Rose. Orange and Sugar is SEC. Now if Georgia beats LSU both are in the playoffs and then Cotton could someone else.

USA Today is currently predicting a Florida vs Memphis Cotton Bowl. They’re also saying the B-12 champ will likely jump Utah win or lose. They also predict Liberty to the Belk Bowl which sounds a little sketchy to me.

Won't happen. Liberty goes to the Cure Bowl. Some of these people predicted Charlotte to the Belk Bowl. Someone had Toledo to the Texas Bowl lol.

And someone has USM to the Liberty Bowl. It seems as if nobody wants to bother with an ounce of research/effort these days. :/

RE: CFP ranking
wouldn’t be surprised if the committee found a way to snake Boise to Cotton if a Cinci wins. Either way if Cinci wins and goes to Cotton, then Boise State’s path forward will be to join the American or face irrelevancy

I have Florida in the Orange and Georgia in the Sugar. They're not going to have TWO SEC teams in either, lol. That would leave Auburn or Alabama for the Cotton, if it's not Baylor.

You're probably right about Penn State in the Rose, b/c Wisky will lose to OSU and drop down some.

Meh, I'm not wasting any of my time or money if Norvell is already gone.

You don't think we can beat Cincy with Norvell calling the plays before he leaves for FSU?

He's certainly handling this 1000% better than Fuente did.

I never said any of that. I already have my tickets and parking pass for the AACCG.

I'm not wasting any resources on a NY6 bowl game if our coach won't be there. I learned that lesson in Birmingham in 2015. Waste of time and money.

Well, you certainly didn't make clear which game you were referring to. Logical assumption is the next one.

And if Silverfield takes over for the Cotton Bowl, the transition should be a lot better. And hopefully, Brady White won't stay up the night before the bowl game chasing women (like Paxton did), and then in the game, fall down every time an opposing player gets within 5 feet of him.

This, especially Appy State. I am sorry, they played Coastal Carolina, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Louisiana-Monroe, South Alabama and Texas State. If any of these games were on Cincinnati or Memphis' schedule we'd be disappointed if we didn't win by 4 scores.

The OOC consisting of South Carolina and UNC didn't help either compared to UC facing Ohio State and UCLA. That is basically two UCLA-- P5 opposition that are having woeful seasons.

Boise's biggest issue was their OOC compared to UC's. Dropping a game to an average BYU team who lost to USF and Toledo was crushing.

Four scores? Cincy beat ECU by 3...

RE: CFP ranking
No matter what happens, its looking likely that the AAC will end its year with 3 teams in the top 25. App State probably will too since their bowls suck and theyll get an easy game (la Tech or UAB)... Boise hopefully will get a Washington St and actually have to play someone of value.

Overall, I chance for 5 non power schools getting into the top 25... and honestly, I think the AAC deserved 4. SMU is getting screwed in all of this. Hopefully enough teams lose that they squeak in and get ranked. Would be an amazing feather in our cap to get 4 top 25 ranked teams at end of year... all will more than likely have at least 11 wins each.

Can someone tell me how Okie St with 4 losses is still ranked but SMU isn't?
