under 4min timeout - 62-52 - lack of 3pt shooting is hurting us in a game that we could win

Wish we ran more sets trying to generate open threes for TSG and Jalen.

Here’s another idea. What if Gueye didn’t touch the ball?

One more thought since I’m on a roll. What if we stopped running offense through the back-to-the-basket postups?

about 2 mins to go and down by 10. Texas has the ball with a full clock to waste.

Gueye is killing us, when is he going to realize he can't score down low in this game.

Yup. Very tough to beat good teams with our lack of perimeter shooting.

67-57 Texas. Final.

Can't score from 3 either. He should concentrate on and improve his 15 ft shot...

Well, a ten point loss is better than a 30something loss.

UAB's scoring each of the last 5 games. We're 2-3 during that stretch.

Team cant shoot. Not rocket science. They seem to play hard and rebound well which is admirable but just cant shoot the ball like we do and ever look good. We haven't scored 60 since Bryant was dismissed. Obviously losing him and not having a couple of knock down 3 point players is killing us. Hope to see them in person Saturday. I still would rather play these type games than what we are use to playing on our schedule. Helps recruiting and image. Go Blazers!

RE: Longhorn Network (UAB at Texas)
We have decent enough shooters on this team. I’d go so far as to say it’s probably the most we’ve had in a several seasons.

We just don’t have offensive sets designed to generate open three point shots. There’s a reason Nate Darling doubled his three point attempts this year at Delaware. A high percentage of our made three pointers are out of the normal flow of offense.

For whatever reason, our emphasis is to get the ball to the post.

I just want to add that after listening to the radio broadcast tonight, I really enjoy the insight that Murry Bartow brings to the commentary. He is doing a great job teaming up with David Crane.

Yeah, he may be my favorite color commentator that we've had on the radio, no disrespect to Steve Mitchell. I just really like Murry's voice, cadence and deep knowledge.

CUSA men's basketball is so bad this year. So far 1-6 against the Colonial.

UAB is playing as well as any and better than most.

I agree. We have some solid shooters, we need to put the offense together now.
