Looking for best place to hang out to watch the Football Championship game and then get over to The Bart for the game vs Memphis.

I would guess Iron City for football, Bartow for the game.

Well, they should normally consider it however if the game goes longer than normal it would bleed into the basketball game being played.

I think you would pretty much have to require people have a ticket for the basketball game to let them in because of the short turnaround time even if the football game ends on time. So even if you have to cut off the feed 10 minutes before the football game ends if it were to go late, we’ll, it’s a ticket for a basketball game so you knew what you were getting in for.

BWW is within walking distance of Bartow. Watch the game there then walk over to Bartow. Did that for the womens game last sunday. Parked centrally to both locations. Watched some NFL ball then walked over to Bartow for the womens game.

I was hoping that someone in the athletic department would come up with a great idea to basically do a tailgate in front of Bartow, with a couple large screen tvs and get some food trucks there and get fans either fired up, or angry as anything and then walk in to the basketball game vs Memphis.

Not sure if many Memphis fans will make the trip, their 17th ranked football team is hosting the AAC Championship in Memphis at 2:30 central time. But any Memphis people who happen to live in the area will likely be at the basketball game.

Unfortunately, I cannot make the Memphis/ Cincy football game so I will drive to Birmingham for the basketball game instead. I expect a tight contest.

Penny today stated he wishes to continue playing UAB.

Good luck in your football game. 04-cheers The resurrection and success of UAB football is an underreported story, IMO.

[/quote. Why wouldn't they show game at Bartow? It's a no brainier. Both games are on CBS Cable. network. I doubt TV would leave the football game early. But why would athletic department do anything nice for the fans?

Woah, a cordial Memphis fan. What a rare sight haha.

Do you know what the context Penny gave for this? Like continuing it how it currently is, or trying to turn it into a 2-for-1?

Sorry, I do not know. Penny said: "We always need to keep that going with UAB,” I do not know the question asked Penny nor do I know the context of the word "that".

Edit:

I reviewed the below presser with Penny and I think the reporter asked if the Tigers should continue home and home. Please go to about 2:55 mark and confirm for yourself.
