MyBB Battle for Atlantis--any idea the $$$ of that trip
For those who might have gone last time, how much does it cost to do the resort? Is it a requirement to stay at the resort to go to the games? What sort of $$ is it all things included?

Thanks in advance.

RE: Battle for Atlantis--any idea the $$$ of that trip
Sorry I don't have any specific info for the trip. I have been there on vacation. It's awesome. IF you go, you do not want to stay anywhere else. There are a couple other nice resorts, but it will be a pain to get back and forth, and they won't be any/much cheaper.

FYI, it's like a lot of big resorts, you can pay big bucks to stay in the nice new building, or pay a lot less for the old building on the edge of the property. We did the latter and still had an awesome time without going broke.

The cost is probably going to be around 2k per person. But if you’re going to go it’s the best way to do it. Chartered flight and all transportation to and from airports and games. It’s very nice. Plus you’ll be around all the other tiger fans the whole time.

I went to Atlantis in August. We took taxis to the Baja Mar. I’ve probably been to Atlantis 5 times or so. They have four hotels (the Reef is more of a condo, but I’ve had friends rent there too). In order of room preference, 1. The cove, 2. The Royal, 3. Coral, 4. Beach.

They are a Marriott property now and they will accept points. If you go this route, book early as they fill up fast.

The restaurants are very expensive there. Plan on paying twice what you would pay at most places. I’ve never been there in November and it may not be great beach weather. Probably 70-80 and just at the end of hurricane season.

There's an outdoor mall right across the street from the main entrance. There are plenty of affordable food options there and it's easy walking.

Yeah, we went the last time the Tigers made this trip. We looked at food prices inside the hotel and I don't think we ate a single meal there. I think we went across the street for all our meals.
