So says the NCAA

If this was the case, they would pass a rule today: no university can contact a coach or that coaches representative until after the final game of the football year...meaning the BCS championship game.

These yearly coaching changes and rumors/ BS hurt the players and its simply not right for them to be put into that position over and over again.

Change the recruiting rules/dates and it wouldn't be as critical for schools to land coaches so early.

It may have started as "its about student-athletes"... but it is most definitely now about $$$
