Interesting. Pretty inconsistent at USC so I'm not sure he'd see the field here

I don't think Clark leaves this season but I think we all should get comfortable with Reeves leaving this year.

It's not about paying Clark, it's whether or not he's interested in a P5 job.

Disagree. "Tis the season for contract extensions and raises for all good coaches. Schools have to contact Mark first to talk to Bill (usual protocol) so he knows the current level of interest. If someone puts an offer on the table then the negotiations begin. It could be that Bill shuts all this down early and there's nothing else said. But make no mistake every coach knows his market value.

So Clark is suppose to get a raise every year if he does well? Again, UAB could pay Clark 2 mil a year, it's not going to matter if the right P-5 job is offered to him and he believes his work at UAB is complete.

Nope. The only thing we can hope for is Clark is not interested in coaching outside the state and he believes UAB is his true calling.

Totally agree. Nothing against Steve Irvine but it would be nice to have someone who knows the X's and O's of the game.

I was thinking more of a coaching staff analyst

We can’t afford to pay our assistants now how are we going to double Clark’s salary?

(you don't have to double Clark's salary and we can afford to bump up our assistants' pay as well)

If I had to guess that would be the scenario that Clark himself would want. Let's face it, we're going to be loaded next year. It should be a lot of fun

I could fill up a legal pad with names of people that refuse to even discuss driving to Legion field for ANYTHING.

I'm not saying its rational but it is what it is.

I'm in the camp of people that think the downtown stadium is going to really help attendance. IMHO.

I'd love for Clark's assistants to get paid better. foundation is around for that type of thing.
