Both ut and Wichita St. are winnable. They aren’t world beaters.

Without a doubt, we are a better team than UT or WSU. On a neutral court, we’d beat them. However, those are tough road games no matter who your team is, and especially tough for a group of freshmen.

At UAB
At Tennessee
Georgia
At Wichita St.

I say we go 7 and 1 over the next eight games without Wiseman. Hopefully Lester makes it back for Tennessee game. I say the loss will be either at Tennessee (and I hate losing to them) or at Wichita State.

I think the Tigers are Loaded for Bear and when Wiseman comes back, watch out. But I'm just an old Tiger Fan. 04-cheers

Sorry, but we aren’t losing 3 of the four I highlighted. Not. Gonna. Happen.

The question was out of the next 8 games. I hope we don’t lose any of them. Realistically it’s going to be hard to win the away games.

UAB being the one that I think could go either way.

Not that it matters. But actually the question was, “Out of the next 8 games, how many of these four will we win”?

The four games being... UAB, UT, Georgia, and Wichita St.

I don’t think we lose three of those four.

I think we go 6-2 or 5-3 over our next 8 games.

Tennessee is good but they are not deep at all. They play four starters 30+ minutes a game and really only rely on two reserves.

Obviously, not having James and Lester hurts, but Memphis (if Malco can eat up a few minutes) still has the ability to make UTk work for 40 minutes.

I was concerned coming off the poor performance vs Little Rock (I think...??) and hearing Lester was out. I'm learning to never doubt Penny. He had these guys geared up for Ole Miss. We played sets I hadn't seen us play. Our team D keeps improving.

I don't know what to expect! Go Tigers Go! Win 'em all!!

It may not be realistic, but I'm not conceding one loss until it happens. Even without Wiseman we have a good team, although a bit young.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m not conceding anything. I think we can win them all. But even with James we have our only loss of the year. Losses are going to happen. Especially with a young team. Come March we will be a totally different animal.

Your pick is just as good as any. Frankly I think we have a better chance at going 8-0 over those who say we will lose three of the 8.

We’ll see.

Our loss with Wiseman is a bit deceiving for two reasons. One, the second foul called on Wiseman was straight bs, that put him on the bench for basically most of the first half. And secondly, our guards were horrible shooting the 3 ball. Our guards are starting to really play well now.

Oregon is also proving to be a really good team.

Shooting has to get more consistent...

IMO that is where we lost the Oregon game.

We were still -3 in the second half and James was there the entire half.

We need Boogie to be consistent and Tyler to hit open looks. Boogie can't disappear or we are going to lose some games that we shouldn't.

We shouldn't even be thinking of possibly losing to Wichita State. Tennessee is also going to be very beatable. The key for that game is going to be keeping their guards in front of us and not getting into foul trouble if we don't. Other than that, they don't scare me at all; we should beat them too.

My point was this... if Wiseman hadn’t picked up the bs second foul and was able to play the first half, the whole game would have played out different. Plus, I believe we would have won.

Georgia isn't a very good team.

Same for WSU. They play OU, Ok State, and Ole Miss before Memphis, so we'll know a lot about them.

But with Anthony Edwards, they're always going to be dangerous. He was a beast against Michigan State in Maui and he almost single-handedly pulled it out with an incredible second half. They came back from 28(?) down and almost won. Granted, it was a neutral floor. Tigers should beat them, but we can't sleep on them, either.

I watched that game and I couldn’t believe Izzo didn’t make some defensive adjustments. He literally let Edwards run free with little to no D.

If left to run free Edwards can get hot and kill you. But if you face guard him, different story.

The sad fact is, none of these really matter. Getting better and prepared for March is really all that matters now. If we lose several of these before Wiseman returns, what does that really prove? Just get better, and everything will work out.
