We did it in 2016 when Tyson Summers needed scapegoats to save his job
Yea we did. But Summers' staff found a way to drive one of the most talented and productive rosters we'd ever had straight into the ground while finding a way to destroy the career numbers of a running back who heading into the season was leading all divisions in yards per carry for a career.
The situations are not the same.
Texas State may have had a bad offense this year, but it's not like they had a great one last year either. It's quite likely the staff needs time to weed out what they need to do to improve and actually get the performance they need.
This is a job that's going to take time to rebuild the right way. If no one gets time, good luck getting anyone worth a damn to take jobs there.

Statistically, they were the worst offensive team in the Belt and near the bottom nationwide. Unacceptable no matter how long they have been there.
Actually, one of the worst in the Nation for the past two years, hovering around 120 of 130 programs in Total Offense.
Ordinarily, I wouldn’t expect to start scraping coaches year 1, but in light of our performance, something had to be done. Personally think we stuck with Withers 1 year too many
We are 13-47 over our last 60 games (5 years). Patience is about non-existent in San Marcos (at least with the fan base, don’t think our AD gives a Rat’s . . well you know).

Take a deep breath.
From someone on the outside that has spent time talking to people who know football in San Marcos as well as people in our area, the issue with Texas State's offense isn't the coordinators.
It's the offensive line.
It's one of the worst in the FBS. Texas State had one guy who would make the Cajuns' two deep. One.
This is not a quick fix. You gotta start up front and you're not going to get it done in one recruiting class.

Been saying it for years. The o-line has been abysmal. There was one good player on the line and he was played out of position just so the line could attempt at being decent.

Totally agree . . . It’s the reason we have no run game, and our QB spends half his time running for his life.
Hoping Santa brings us some Big O Line Hogs for Christmas this year . . .
I would add this, besides the O-Line, we do have a leadership problem, and I’m not talking Coaches. We have a Univ. Prez. and an AD neither of whom seem to care about us fielding a winning football program.
I can’t imagine another Football Program in the Country that would go 13-47 over 5 years and not Fire its AD. We’ll probably give ours a raise . . .
