Good defensive coordinator. Got lucky with Bridgewater as you say and parlayed that into some serious $$$'s. He'll get picked up as a DC making at least $500k/year within the next 10 months or so. That is provided he doesn't retire.
$15 million (at least) from Texas, $8 million from Louisville and another $6 million (at least) from USF. Going to be 60 next year. Nice retirement if he wants it.

I read, I think in a Rivals story, that he was at 2.5 this year, and has a 2.5 buyout, so his total for 3 years is probably at least 9.5.

USF is lagging behind in athletic facilities, but the situation with Coach Strong was untenable. Football attendance collapsed this season, and apathy was high. Not sure where the money is coming from to buy him off, but I guess we won’t see the indoor practice facility any time soon

He also had a one-time 3-year retention bonus that kicked in this year for an extra $2.5M.
