Perhaps the more pertinent question would be why hasn't Parker Brothers sued them for appropriating the image of the Monopoly Man?

I’m sure it’s been discussed! I’m not an IP attorney but I don’t know that it’s a winnable battle for Parker Brothers. The top hat, monocle, and mustache are pretty close but the forward-facing posture, the red sports coat, and the angry look are fairly different.
I think, more than anything, Parker Brothers would come across as quite petty!

Big East defying the projections today with big wins against Kansas, Texas and Purdue thus far. Georgetown also adding a solid win as well.
St. John's, DePaul and Creighton still have remaining big games tonight.

Best OOC day for the BEAST since realignment, guaranteed. An undefeated day defied projections

you can take out the day and leave it just best OOC for the BEAST since realignment. Every year up to now, it's been a case of but if. Not this season.. 9 of 10 teams finish at 9-9- and they're making the NCAA tourney pretty much guaranteed. That's never happened before for the Big East.

Good win for the Johnies. Arizona has the talent for a final four team, but the coaching for a first round exit. The team isn’t jelling and seems to have tuned Miller out. The one and dones are more interested in draft stock and don’t want to run Miller 1950’s offensive sets

PAC at least bagged the A10’s best school.
Big East needed a day like that. Great wins like that help the chances for bids, but, maybe more importantly, better seeding for its best performers.

A stupendous day for the BE. Is there a better league this year from top to bottom? I think not.

It is the Big East, Big Ten, and MAC's world...and we are just surviving in it.
All these schools near the Great Lakes are killing it.

Huh? The MAC went 4-5 yesterday. Only 1 was against a top 10 conference...and that was a 53-point loss.

Picking up where we left off from Christmas Day...
On Saturday, December 28...Fullerton State wins at UCLA, 77-74. Titans are just 4-10 after this win. Bruins drop to 7-6. Fullerton is now 2-10 all-time against UCLA.
Wisconsin wins big at Tennessee, 68-48
On Sunday, December 29...#22 West Virginia upsets #2 Ohio State in Cleveland, 67-59. A 36-24 second half carries the Mountaineers.
LSU hands Liberty its first loss of the year, 74-57.
Central Connecticut State gets its first win, 89-55 over D-3 Connecticut College.
#8 Auburn stays unbeaten with an easy 86-59 win over Lipscomb.
Arkansas wins at Indiana, 71-64. Second straight year the Hogs have beaten the Hoosiers. Razorbacks are 11-1; Indiana is 11-2.
Hartford stuns Northwestern in Evanston, 67-66. Wildcats ought to ditch playing home games against mid-major/low-major teams from New England!
Western Illinois upsets South Dakota, 82-75. Leathernecks improve to 4-7 and log only their second win against D-1 opposition this year. A D-1 member for 40 years, Western has never played in the NCAA Tournament. They are the sole charter member of the Summit League going back to the inception of the Mid-Continent Conference. The 'Necks have only played for one conference championship as far as I remember.
Not a laughable score, but the greatest distance between Division 1 schools was covered Sunday night, as Maine played at Hawaii. Distance between both schools is 5,153 miles, and the Black Bears took a 91-51 beating for their trouble.

The year the Leathernecks played for the conference title, they gathered up a bunch of Augustana students to root for them. Now, Augustana might be in their league one day.
Jim Molinari was a miracle-worker for them. You need a miracle worker when you’re in a location as remote and isolated from humanity/interstates as Macomb, have no $, and the gym looks like a garage. Hopefully they break through one day. One of the best mascot names in college sports

RE: Laughable Scores- College Basketball- December
From Monday, December 30
Stetson stuns South Carolina in Columbia, 63-56. If anyone can figure out the riddle known as South Carolina men's basketball, let me know. How can you win impressively at Clemson and Virginia, but lose at home to Boston University and Stetson? Hatters improve to 6-9. Gamecocks are now 8-5.
Youngstown State, like Western Illinois have been long-suffering D-1 members with no NCAA tournament appearances to show for their fans. Penguins go to 2-0 in the Horizon League after a 70-64 win at UIC. Flames fall to 7-9. YSU is 9-6.
Also in the Horizon, Green Bay took its losing record to Highland Heights and shocked a lackluster Northern Kentucky team, 73-59. The Phoenix 'rise' to 6-9. The Norse fall to 9-5.
