WKU got one of the easier draws in the entire bracket, with the lone quality team (Louisville) injured and limping into the tourney. However, they've got Texas if they advance to the second weekend. We've got #4 Wisconsin.

BTW our game times are 5:30pm CT on Thursday and, if we win, 7:30pm on Friday.

Volleyball NIT field. UTSA is playing in that tournament (but not Cal - they must have said no thanks). That's the only postseason tournament Rice has won a match (or two) in its postseason history. We really need to change that this year.

We have not looked good in post tournament play in the past. I hope it will be different this year. By the way, the MOB could not make it to Austin last year and there was limited student support in Austin. I hope it is different this year at College Station.

Thanks for the correction -- I was confused as well. The Rice and A&M websites now both say 4:30 Thu / 6:30 Fri.

I just hope we play our best, something we didn't do the first two rounds of the CUSA tourney. We played solid against WKU, but their far superior setting and defense did us in in the end. They totally took Anota out of her game for the first 3 sets of the match.

And he has WKU winning 3 before falling to Texas. So if the 'Toppers upset the 'Horns, we could get a third chance at WKU for the trophy!

WKU got a very easy draw, especially when one learns that Louisville is missing one of their best players due to injury, but don't they face Texas in Austin in the 3rd round?

I think you can safely assume no.

I know there was discussion about a bus with the rally club, etc during the selection show...not sure of the progress since then.

I just checked the WatchESPN schedule-- we're our Thursday match is currently scheduled on ESPN3; meaning free screening.

Just got an e-mail from Rally Club. There's confirmed no bus tomorrow, but there may be one for Friday. Students can get Thursday tickets discounted to $3. There's also a student watch party at the Lovett College Commons.
