Exclamation DeAngelo post game
Is anybody able to give us a recap of what DeAngelo Williams said on the post-game show last night. I was driving and the AM station was not clear. He is one my favorite and beloved Tigers of all time. Basically, very enthusiastic about the football program and so proud to be a Tiger.

First, he was critical of the “zebras” as he put it, said Joey made the catch at Temple” – I agree. Second when addressing Coach Norvell leaving, said “hey, next man up”. Indicated we have the momentum, now the facilities, so let’s get the next guy in here and keep it up”.

Very positive approach and he is correct.

Hope he might consider coaching RB’s here, would be great.

I didn't hear it, but there is no doubt Norvell, should he ever leave (and I hope he doesn't), has left the program at a much better place than he found it. And that place should be attractive to many prospective coaches. We just need to get another hit on another pitch for the third straight at-bat.

DeAngelo is such a cool individual. When Wolo called him the greatest football Tiger he deflected the attention away from himself and pointed out the greats we've had just over the last 3-4 years, calling out our two previous QB's, D Henderson, Tony Pollard, even Gainwell and Patrick Taylor. But he was pretty firm on Isaac Bruce as his all time best. Like I said, such a cool person and one who hasn't lost his humility. An object lesson for the youngsters coming up, always maintain your dignity and grace.

He talked about the uniforms and how the team hasn’t worn the same uniform combination in two years (or some number of games). Said in his day it was hard to get shoes.

He also said we were running back U after talking about Henderson, Pollard and Gainwell.

High praise from our all time rushing yards leader at 6,026 yards.

He also said that he was as critical about Brady as others, but that Brady was playing great now and he's a believer.

In conjunction with that comment, he said something like "Man, I swear we are the Oregon of the South."
