RE: Kent State vs. Stetson
As someone who has played the game, as I'm sure many others on this Board have, I can attest to the fact that in garbage time all bets are off. Players just want to get more points in the scorebook and I would never evaluate a player based upon how good or bad he looks in garbage time. Bainbridge can shoot the ball. I saw him last year and he has a nice shot. I'm not worried that he layed bricks yesterday.

Not to drag out the point, you are right all bets are off in garbage time ... FOR THOSE PLAYERS WHO SELDOM PLAY.

But those players trying to be the 7-8-9 guy in the rotation ... and getting more meaningful minutes there is no such thing as garbage time ... I was taught the more prudent thing was to play like the game was still on the line, and not just try to get into the scorebook. Coaches are still charting, filming the game.

Bainbridge is going to play, and play every game. The question is will he play for 5-10 minutes, or 10-15 minutes. If it's the former, then much of that will be garbage time. If it's the latter, he's getting quality minutes. For my $$$ the sooner the better. Again, he's not a garbage player and should not act/settle like he is one.
