RE: KENTUCKY!
I do wonder how the shot percentage would climb if Pearson and Mahktar took one dribble, took one step forward and set up for a longish two-point shot instead.

Pearson at least is 3-5 from 3pt this season. He can make some shots from there but seems to know that's not his game. Gueye has been launching them since he was a freshman and so far is sub 25% for his career. You're wide open out there for a reason, big fella. Frustrating because we are so desperate for him to step up but he has to play within himself.

RE: KENTUCKY!
You can expect the normal fouls and turnovers from Pearson that get under your skin however all things considered the guy does hustle.

The other person mentioned hasn't done very much this season.

We could use a couple of more big guys like Butler.

Pearson still makes a lot of mistakes but I like that he seems mentally into the games now. He talks a lot on defense and hustles all over the court. Reminds me of Frank Holmes. Probably won't be a star but can help win a lot of games with his size and effort.

Didnt get to watch due to a family event. Impressive effort and hustle against superior talent, based on the highlights and stats. Ehsan does have them playing hard. Got to admire Benjamin. Need more hidden jewels like him. Need Gueye to wake up and score in the paint.

What happened with Lovan? I thought this would be his game to shine.

Lovan's game is based largely on drives to the basket and getting second chance shots on other's misses. KY was tough inside and didnt give us many opportunities for rebound put backs.

I agree. Lovan will continue to have great games, but Kentucky is just too big and strong near the basket.

Lovan also left the floor early and went to the locker room. He came back quickly, but I guess it’s possible that he had some small injury

Like the Team Coach Eshan has put together hope they give him two more years.
For Coach to get a Early Lead on Kentucky was impressive to Me.
The Coach is coaching for his career if he can sustain the riducle , should do just fine, one game at at a time one recruit at a time one more fan in the arena.

RE: KENTUCKY!
Texas only up 3 on McNeese at halftime.

Texas up 65-64 with 3:18 left.

Longhorns pull it out 73-71.

RE: KENTUCKY!
Can anyone point to the moment that TSG became a great player? Last year he seemed to really have trouble adjusting to the pace of D1 basketball, but he's been a beast this season.

Butler seems like he's having a tough time getting back into it. Doesn't help when he's 6'8" and trying to defend against a couple of dudes that are 6'11"

I really enjoyed the fight they had to finish the game. That run at the end helped them jump like 10 spots in KenPom.

No, because that hasn't happened yet. He had a great game in Lexington but he needs to keep it up. He's shown some signs of being a good player but consistency is key. Before the UK game, TSG was shooting 20% from 3pt. I'd say the last great player we had was Chris Cokley. Great players bring it every game.

If TSG is a great player, he'll show out in Austin tomorrow and we'll bag that W.
