Now Beat Kent State!

These two teams are very similar in style. EMU edges out Kent in most stat categories but Kent did play Wisconsin and Auburn while EMU played Illinois and Rutgers. This game could be a shootout. Very important that the EMU defense does not give up those long plays and makes Kent earn everything they get.

I expect Shaq to have a good game and be the difference maker today.

Agreed. Feed Shaq the rock. He’s been running great, and if we can sustain drives on the ground, that gives our defense some rest and keeps their offense off the field.

Crum doesn’t make many mistakes, so we can’t let him sit back there and be comfortable. I’d love to see some blitzes, and for our senior-laden secondary to force a turnover or two.

If our offense plays like it’s been playing, I don’t see us losing.

I agree regarding the defense. Mix it up continuously. Crum is also their leading rusher so keep an eye on that.

Offensively I want to see Eastern use the entire play book. Glass needs to run the ball and Grissom needs to throw a pass (TE should be open over the middle when Grissom is in).

Could’ve easily ran it on 2nd and long, which would’ve been better than a WR screen. Especially when we put Glass back in. They expected a pass.

Not when your DL can’t generate pressure. We have zero pass rush from our ends. The blitzes have worked, but we’ve been too conservative until they get to the goal line. Can’t keep doing that and expect to stop them.
