RE: Game Day: (Senior Day vs. Kent State)
Special teams was short bus special this week. Except for Jake.

9 penalties, mostly of the mental lapse variety and at terrible times.

Don't know that I can take another season of Keen's play calling.

Really looked like Eastern was playing down to Kents level.

Sure. The dubious call on Simeon is probably the game.

I thought his arm came around the neck of Crum but wasn't a penalty.

W/out that penalty the game goes down to the last EMU possession.
From my seat it did not look like a face mask. did anyone get a clear look at the replay? CC was ripping into the head referee soon after. I think that's what it was about.

It wasn't a face mask. Simeon's hand in contact with Crum's neck but mostly incidental.
Thanks Steve. That st!tty call may have cost EMU the game. They would've got the ball back with 3 TOs and 4 minutes to work with.

I don't see Creighton getting any looks for two reasons, RECRUITING is sub par for MAC players, and his MAC record, and overall record minus his first two seasons is barely .500! Jason Campbell, PJ Fleck, Jim McElwain, Lance Leipold is who they're looking for...…...Win and recruit!

Beating B10 on the road is impressive but losing to Ball State and CMU is not impressive and ....got to a better job of winning the close ones.

To be honest it looked like neither team came to play. Most of the scoring came about because of the other teams mistakes.

Getting destroyed by Buffalo and C Mich as well! And, I can see both of those coaches getting poached away!

The 80 seconds that bridged halftime is one of the more brutal sequences I’ve ever seen: KSU FG, EMU INT, KSU TD, KSU Kickoff Return TD.

Game went from 14-14 to 31-14 in just over a minute of play.

RE: Game Day: (Senior Day vs. Kent State)
Creighton has ZERO chance at getting a Power 5 offer this off-season. The only way I see him leaving would be for a better Group 5 job and that would require an emergency fill situation late in the process. He is our coach for the foreseeable future.

I think CC learned a lot this season. Great defensive ends like POC, Jerry Harris and Mad Maxx are not a given, we will have to maintain a primary recruiting focus there. While the defense was indeed our major problem this year, the basic problem was with technique rather than talent. WE DID NOT TACKLE! We certainly did not have much pass rush, could not set the edge and allowed too many receivers to get behind us but our overriding problem was with tackling. Other than Hoying and usually Beltran, we whiffed often on bringing ball carriers down. Kevin Magill is a splendid talent but his "venus de milo" tackling approach to armless tackling was found wanting this season. That is a coaching issue to be sure and can be fixed with proper direction. Neathery can be a genius schemer but missed tackles truly render such schemes as irrelevant.

Ryland seems to HATE the 30-35 yard field goal but that truly is just the beginning of our special team's issues. THEY SUCK! I was at the game and saw that they nearly broke our initial kickoff for a touchdown. Apparently our coach did not. Creighton calls special team positive performance as "stolen yards" and we sure as hell won't get prosecuted for theft here.

I'm with Sam with respect to Glass. Our offense has been very good this year without a running game, he is a great QB. His last INT, however, was a poor throw indeed. Sports are crazy, a guy pays his own way his first year, does special things while at Eastern and his entire football career ends with a poor throw. That sucks for sure.

Especially Candle and Lester! They took over two programs that were flourishing, and they've definitely lost that! McElwain is a big time coach! He took a 1-11 team with ZERO wins in the MAC last season, and in one season made them MAC West champions! Those weren't even his recruits which makes it even more impressive! Creighton should learn from Mcelwain..........

Was watching the game and listening on WEMU. Thought I heard it. Thought I heard, "Ty has played 4 games and will redshirt.' I wasn't paying 100% attention when I heard the first part.

If this is true, a big plus for our 2020 DL.

I think you are on to something. Sounds like a redshirt candidate.
