She had to be the No.1 D.J.Stephens fan. I hope he can contact her.

I hope he already has. She was one of his most ardent supporters.

She was very welcoming to all the female Tiger fans, including myself, who got involved in supporting either sport, on this board and in person. She traveled to so many bb games and tournaments and has been very active in Rebounders. Her family, her rescued dogs, and her Tigers were the focus of her life during the years I knew her. Her sudden illness has left me extremely sad. I pray for comfort and peace for her and her dear family as they walk this path.
21-17, correct me if I am wrong: You were the one wearing the blue plaid Tigers pajama pants in a picture that Janice shared after a "PJ's game (?)" at the Forum? If I am correct, it is yet another example of what Janice brought to the board, and life in general.
I remember back before this board, and right when we (at that time it was only a few of us) began posting on Tiger Illustrated, she and I spent an evening in chat together and I was trying to show her how to get her Bart avatar in her profile.
At some point we talked about a get together and because we lived in Chicago we chose a Tigers basketball game late 2002/2003 when we were going to be in town for the holidays. A group of us (for you babies, we listened to Wolo together on-line and chatted in a room at the old TI, as opposed to the silly game threads that you guys are used to -- real time chat -- no refreshing!) met there at a place in the Pinch and went to the ball game at the Pyramid, can't remember what team. It was there that I met a few friends that to this day I am in touch with. I have spent more than a few games tailgating with them, away basketball games, and probably the most fun I have ever had at away football games with some in this same group, and not to forget the Pig-Gates held at those friend's houses!
These things happened initially because of Janice reaching out and giving of herself to make it happen. I can't count the memories created with some (all of which have primarily left this board) of those that I met that night that I may have not had if not for her. All because we shared our love for the Tigers "anonymously" and wanted to be involved with others who thought similarly.
Without any other details, I am remiss that I took her to task for being so open with her personal info with everyone, she and I got sideways because of that, and If I could apologize I would. Best thoughts and wishes to her and her family.

No, that wasn't me, but it sounds just like something she would have initiated.

I posted on here when I was student in 2011 seeking help to acquire tickets to the NCAA tournament game in Tulsa. She made sure I got tickets. Nice lady.

Just out of curiousity, are her dogs still kicking? She used to post pictures all the time and I have no idea what the lifespan is on poodles.

I'm also FB friends with her...from her time here.
Somehow she was added as my cousin...we both got a kick out of that.
Very dear woman.

Sorry, it has been awhile since I have frequented here, and yes, there was a whole group in the jammy pic - I believe they were the same group of Tigers msg board ladies that she had over to her house. The young lady in that picture did/does(?) post here, and I can't recall her screen name and never knew her. I ask only because I own those same jammy pants and they are still my favorites!

A doctor friend of mine was explaining to me what prions are just last week during a discussion of Chronic Wasting Disease in deer populations in several counties here in TN. I pray that's not what she has. If it has been mentioned elsewhere in this thread I missed it.
Continued prayers for Janice.
