I think SOME of that should be attribute Stanford’s size and their half court defense. When we had them running our offense was looking better. When we stand around and allow their size to dictate things we get smashed.

Campbell was too big for us. Everyone is. McGrath coaches like a Chihuahua. We have no size and he pretends we do.

I agree but this is a common theme when we play D1 competition. We scored 62 against Unc, 81 in OT vs Campbell, 49 vs Davidson, 46 vs Cleveland State, 66 against FIU, and 59 against Boise State. 5 out of 6 D1 games we’ve scored less than 70 points and it looks like there’s no way we get there today. Just brutal offensive effort.

I doubt it. They get paid good money.

If we were in Japan, he'd quit out of disgrace.

Neither team made a free throw in the first half! I wish I could find out how rare that is.

Agree. This style of basketball, whatever he calls it... is ugly and ineffective.

Funny to listen to Vacarro talking about how quick their ball movement is, leading to open shots. Wonder where they learned that?

I doubt this will be our only game where we don’t make a FT in a half. Our FT shooting is awful to be nice.

They play utilizing a lot of screens and back cuts. The Stanford offense looks a lot like the offense William and Mary used to run.

You mean they actually have picks...and back cuts....and players moving and stuff? That's not legal, is it?

It’s only illegal in Wilmington apparently.

Lol. They just called us the “Sea Wolves”.

How do announcers get THAT crossed up?

Aaaand he just did it again.

When we have a terrible game... Sea Wolves.

When we play crappy teams... Seahawks.

I cannot figure out why Boggs gets so few minutes. He adds so much to this team in so many ways.

Agree. He took a shot (elbow) to the back of the head a few minutes ago. He was pretty shook up. Hope he’s gonna be okay.

Shykeim just can’t get his shots to fall today. Boggs is back in the game.

RE: @ Boise State / @ Stanford (11/29, 9 PM EST; 12/1, 4 PM EST)
Considering the fact we have a huge problem with lack of size, I don't get the PT distribution.

Boggs played 13 minutes, with only Bowen(11 min) and Jenkins(1 min) playing less. In his 13 minutes, he scored 9 points on 3-4 from 3.

Linssen played 17 minutes. 12 points, 4 rebounds on 6-9 shooting.

My only guess/hope is that McGrath isn't concerned about winning these OOC games and is letting others get PT before we start conference play.

Stanford had 4 players with over 25 minutes while UNCW had 1. I recall last year we were constantly toying with our lineup and never really settled into a starting 5. I hope these minutes played are not going to remain the same once we start conference play.

Boggs is definitely deserving of more minutes offensively.

What I’m sick and tired of seeing on offense are two guys running down the court, settling into the corners and not moving. At all. Our PG just rotates himself right/left or left/right at the top of the key when he’s without the ball. We have one man who settles into the post and occasionally sets high screens for the 1 or 2.

Our lack of movement on offense looks like a very talented pickup team. I’ve seen adult rec teams that play a better offensive system.

If you’re going to be dead set to be a “corner three” guy and that’s it you had better learn how to run screens on the baseline to at least force their defenders to move. A large portion of our turnovers this season are from defenders jumping into our pass lanes. It’s easy pickins for them because they know we aren’t moving.
