Hope they find out that Cal, Duke, North Carolina, and some more head coaches headed this up with them behind close doors. Also, I hope they find out what plans that these coaches had for the UofM going forward. I hope that they find out everything, including 2008.

And hope all is arrested for all of the back door dealings, cash paid, and amongst other crooked things they have conjured up.

-This technically is a rule-violation. The punishment matrix says a minimum of 9 games. Our only hope was to get 3 taken away.

-The NCAA is arbitrary and capricious in enforcing said rules

-Said rules are outdated and should allow for context

-It appears there never was any sort of gentlemen's agreement/behind the scenes negotiating/foregone settlement. Disappointed in posters on here who cultivated false optimism by saying "wait, this is only the beginning-- good things are happening behind the scenes"
I am only very slightly surprised. I thought they might drop a game or two, three max. Here is the deal: We have won the first 3 of the 12 games. If we can get 6 of the last 9 without him lookout for the rest of the season!

I think that is a given. Just depends on how bad they want to cripple us going forward

I’m thinking 2 year postseason ban, 25% reduction in scholarships, and no home recruiting visits.

No way. That’s beyond unfair and the punishment is the 12 games. I don’t see additional punishments.

I say we send Ben Spiva, Joey Dorsey, and Will Coleman to go have a chat with those Indianapolis pencil pushers.

Were talking about the NCAA and they have an agenda. Penny is a threat to the blue bloods on the recruiting trail. This is their way of fixing that.

I’m just hoping for no show cause against Penny. Everything else can be overcome in time. 1 or 2 year postseason ban would hamper recruiting, but PH could get past that.

Would be devestating to the program, and vindictive. Just like the NCAA.

I don’t see a one or two year ban on post season tournament. While I agree it’s the NCAA and they don’t operate fair. I don’t see additional punishments for Penny or the school. That’s beyond ridiculous.

Yeah so was strict liability. I hope they’re done, but they’ve never done us any favors.

There will almost certainly be a punishment on Penny. He's crashing the frat party, and the NCAA is run by the coaching frat.

Just hope it's only scholly reductions and some games Penny can't coach.

OK, I just heard that the appeal was denied. I thought we wouldn't hear anything until next week so this may be complete BS.

I'm sure the NCAA is shaking in its boots about Cohen's claim it will be investigated by Congress. Chicken Little couldn't find his azz if he had a road map.
