If you remember former Tiger Anthony Douglas who played with Penny, think of him at 6-9 with athleticism. That's what you're getting with Malcolm Dandridge.

Douglas was an undersized beast inside at 6-5.

I know all about Dandridge. He is more of a bruiser than a freak athlete though. Most excited for his high-low passing with Wiseman/Thomas. He is a much, much, much better playmaker than Precious and East sometimes ran plays with him as a decision maker from the high post.

I think some of y'all are underestimating Malcolm's talent level and ability to be a factor.

He's gonna surprise y'all once he gets some pt and experience under his belt.

If he is not a foul machine and a good rebounder I will be satisfied

He will have a learning curve even if he was healthy and playing with team all along. All i am expecting from him right now is a few minutes and maybe a few boards.

Thats a pretty high bar for a freshman ranked in the 100-150 range, coming off a major injury, and playing Center (a position where freshman outside the top 25 or so usually struggle badly)

He doesn't have to dominate just help us win with a couple key rebounds, blockouts or pubacks. I don't think it's that high of a bar.

He is young and inexperienced but very talented and imo a bit under rated.

IM has a decent shot but I've seen enough of Maurice bumbling rebounds and ole defense.

LT seems to be playing small. Seems like Thomas hands are always down, I'm sure they work on it but it's a bad habit. If he corrects this he will become a much more effective on offense and defense.

I think Dandridge will have a valuable role on this team this season, plus he knows how to play with JW.

Malcolm looked good in his short time on the floor.

He'll be more of a factor once he figures out the college style of play. I expect that to be before the UT game.

Maurice will soon be the 11th man in a 10-man rotation. He's had his chance and blew it. Malcolm will get his minutes.

Malcolm will come along fine and right now he doesn’t have to do a lot. He will have to watch switches on the pick and roll because the little guard will try to pick on him and take him off the dribble. He’s great to have because of foul trouble and didn’t look to bad on the free throw line.

He’s 2 for 2 from the FT line. That’s a good sign.

Maurice will be needed... we have guys with different strengths. There will be times his shooting is needed.

Malcolm looked good... can't let that 1-5 switch happen when he is on the floor though. He is not ready to guard on the perimeter

One thing he didn't look was confused.

Agree on not being confused. I think Malcolm has a very high basketball IQ. I don’t think he’ll score much for us this year—I think he will make plays that will win games for us.

I just want him blocking out even if he doesnt get the rebounds himself. Setting inside screens for our drivers to get to the basket. Play tough defense.

Malcolm played great tonight. Had about 6 pts and several rebounds and a couple of blocks.

Don't be surprised if Penny starts him on Saturday at UAB. He's getting more and more comfortable on the court and eager to have an impact.

He'll be even more of a factor when Wiseman returns.

Totally agree. Great team player, and just a warrior willing to do the dirty work. Loved this kid's game for years.

I'm with you. Watching him last night, he's already grasped boxing out, positioning and big-man defensive fundamentals. Impressive. If he's boxing you out, you ain't getting around him.

I could see him being a 10 point 10 rebound 3 block guy who flies totally under the radar for us. To me that plays well with the flashy talent we have and will have.

Dandridge is much more skilled and agile than I expected him to be...

He doesn't seem to be raw at all for a freshman.
