I see most folks agree with Manny Diaz. Thats about right
Dont see why folks that Addazios days are numbered. he has done okay at BC. Nothing to brag about but he gets them to a bowl every year.

The correct answer is Willie Taggart. The rest are vying for second place.

How do you fire a coach after 1 year? Knee jerk reaction to a loss I think.

Nobody said Manny is getting fired this year.

Nobody said Manny is getting fired this year.

If he loses to Duke this weekend he won't get fired this year. But next year? He better have a stellar season or he is going to get the Taggart Treatment.

As someone who voted for Addazio, this is why! BC moves on.

I still would have picked Manny right up until I read that article. If anything I felt the case for keeping Addazio got stronger with the Pitt game. And he lost his QB this season. I just don't think it was a good move for BC. Addazio was giving them bowl seasons despite the fact that BC is dead last (or nearly dead last) in every support metric for football in the conference.

RE: ACC FB HC Survivor
I think the potential for BC regret in a few seasons is real. I had just read a few articles that led me to believe this event had decent potential of happening. My only surprise is it still happened after he pulled the upset to get bowl eligible again.

BC should become a triple option team. I’d go after Ken Nutello from Navy.

The ACC teams already have a decade of experience against the patriarch of that coaching tree. And an asset at running the spread option at an academy is that their entire existence there is centered around discipline and command and details. It's much much easier for the service academies to assemble a roster that plays to the last man selflessly with maximum effort doing whatever the position calls for. The kind of talent that wants to play in the NFL -- and can absolutely blow up the blocks of service academy sized players every single down -- tends to not want to go to schools with that kind of environment. They wants the frills. They want the thrills. They want the academic support staff there to constantly grease the runway. They want the top flight nutrition program. They don't want to be trained for four years in a system they don't run in the NFL. They don't want to see the constant cut blocking in practice.

(Having said all that, if you somehow force NFL caliber talent to play in the spread option I think it is as close to an unstoppable offense as there exists. It consistently punches well above its weight.)

Dino is super safe. His seat will warm up next year if he is sub .500%

Winning 2 out the last 3 games despite horrific ACC reffing really helps.

I saw this on another site... Doeren was spanked by 4 first year coaches and 2 coaches that have since been fired.
