A huge game for both teams with division title aspirations.

All roads to the CUSA championship both east and west likely go through this game.

Bring friends! Generally a good time in the stadium if you haven't been.

From what I have seen from our coach, with an exception of most games with La. Tech, he doesn’t have a clue how to win a “must” game.

Beating UAB was a must-win game for Southern Miss.

If Jack plays then we've got a shot...we suffered some injuries at LB vs WKU and 2 of our top 3 WR's haven't played the past few games so those guys might not be back. If Jack is out...then we'll lose 31-13.

So says the UAB fan. I’m sure the Rice, UTEP, UTSA, and UNT fans felt the same way. Ditto the Troy and Alcorn fans.

If you don't beat UAB then all we had to do the next week was beat La. Tech to win the West and Southern Miss had no chance of getting to the title game. If you lost that game it was either going to be UAB or LT as the West division winner almost guaranteed. Games against the other top 2 or so teams in your division are the literal must win games as you're going up a game over them directly and you win the tiebreakers. Every conference game is important, but obviously some are more important.

I highly doubt Rice, UTEP, and UTSA felt the same way this year considering all of those teams were out of the championship race fairly early on.

Likely immaterial, because FAU seems primed to put us out of our misery. I hope I’m wrong about that. Of course, we could have simply beaten LaTech when we were up 14-0, and none of this tiebreaker crap would even matter.

We’ve slipped a long, long way when we can’t make mediocre SEC teams pay for not being great, and have to settle for moral victories against programs that weren’t even FBS the year we beat Alabama and Auburn.

Of course, none of that is LaTech or UAB’s fault. It’s just repeated here for perspective’s sake.

Rivas FG off of a short drive for FAU. FAU 3-0, early in first.

How did Bryant come so open? FAU 10-0 midway through first.
