ASUN Men's Basketball - 11/25-12/1 - Thanksgiving Relaxation & Tourney
It's the week of Thanksgiving! What are you thankful for this year, be it how life is going, how friends & family are doing, or maybe how your favorite team is performing?

Personally, I'm thankful for time with my family this past weekend, time with my in-laws this coming week, & I'm especially thankful for my Lord & Savior Jesus Christ's sacrifice on the cross & resurrection to give forgiveness of sins & offer salvation to all who will believe! I'm also thankful for the smaller blessings of Florida football doing so well this year & Liberty's men's hoops remaining undefeated after 8 games.

I am thankful that you make this thread.
I am thankful for Jesus my Savior, his love, grace, mercy and strength.
I am thankful that I will be able to somehow squeeze 16 people into my small house for three days of Thanksgiving. Imagine the snoring!!!
I am thankful for being alive and loving my God and my family for one more year.
I am thankful for a loving thoughtful compassionate wife.
I am thankful for four mature faithful talented children.

Lipscomb: The OVC's Tennessee Tech should have taken note before this game that just like a real eagle would never corner an angry bison, neither should they have cornered the Bison in the first half, as they got steam-rolled by the roarin' Bison squad behind KJ Johnson's 23-7-8 stat line. This Lipscomb team is now on a 2-game winning streak, & ASUN members ought to take note of this before they get stomped into the ground a program that is used to running the ASUN. Lipscomb hopes to keep their momentum as they face off against the #25 team in the nation this Saturday in Cincinnati.

JU: The Dolphins really ought to have stayed in the water, as the desert-weathered Camels took a controlling lead for most of this game & were able to hold off the Dolphins' last-minute floundering to secure a 62-57 victory in Buies Creek, NC. The Dolphins did play a significantly better second half, as they outscored the Camels 39-28. But when you lose the first half by 16, 11 is sadly not enough. David Bell & his squad face off against the NC A&T Aggies on Saturday.

NJIT: While the Highlanders started strong with a 21-15 lead, a turnover to the Scarlet Knights began the quick spiral downward for NJIT, who would trail by 14 at half & eventually lose by 27. The Highlanders, who looked more like the Lowlanders by the time the game was over, did learn that they can depend upon Sophomore Kjell de Graaf & Junior San Antonio Brinson to lead them as they scored 13 & 11, respectively. NJIT will get to rest for over a week before they take on 2-3 Army.

Stetson: They may not have had much of a crowd show up due to the Thanksgiving holiday, but the Hatters did show up to defeat their in-state NAIA opponents out of Florida College by 12. Florida College did try to steal this one like they were Stephen F Austin playing Duke, as they were up by one at half & led for the first minute of the second half, but after Stetson took the lead at 18:51 in the 2nd, they did not allow FC to even tie them again before the game was over. The Hatters hope to make their next opponent go mad when they take on Kent State on Saturday for the Buckeye Classic.

FGCU: While a real Panther could have easily destroyed an Eagle in a fight, Florida Tech's Panthers did not do a good job of looking the part of their wild counterpart as they watched FGCU lay them low with a barrage of 3-pointers, particularly Sam Gagliardi's six 3's. The Eagles were merciless in the opening game of the Hilton Garden Inn FGCU Classic as they downed D-II Florida Tech by 14 in this in-state matchup. FGCU looks ahead to their next match-up on Friday against North Dakota in the FGCU Classic.
