While I don't mind us starting Carter Bradley since we need to see how good he is does anyone think we may also see Finn play since he can now offically be considered a redshirt this year?

Yes. In fact, I’d love to see him get situational snaps next season if he isn’t the starter. We’ve been burned enough times by other teams who do that at QB, you’d think we would learn something from it.

Finn is very, very raw. Especially as a passer.

Our quarterbacks last game were 16/34 with 0 touchdowns and a pick.

Raw can’t be much worse.

Definitely some catchable balls that were drops.

Including 2 drops that should have been touchdowns.

It will be interesting to see if Finn does get some reps on Friday. He initially committed to CMU, but ended up being a Rocket...
I for one, think he should play, maybe not start, but possibly utilized in a wildcat formation.
D. Finn, being Mr. Football in the state of Michigan ending his HS career, that task was definitely not accomplished with smoke and mirrors...
The kid shows some moxey, which bodes well for JC and the program, down the road...

These young guys sitting the bench need to get some playing time. I know other teams are taking advantage of the new redshirt rules. Why aren’t we? It doesn’t matter if we win or lose this last game. Unless we think we need the win for a bowl game. Let these kids show what they can do. Give them a reason to want to come back. With the ncaa making it easier to transfer you would think the coach would want them to get involved

What proof do you have that "other teams are taking advantage of the new redshirt rules." But UT isn't? Just that UT isn't playing a true freshman QB a lot??

If you look at the participation report, there are 15-20 guys who have only played in 1-2-3 games. If some guys aren't ready, it's not worth playing them when they aren't ready.

3-7 East Side Waite lost to Clay.
3-8 Georgia Tech with Georgia looming.
4-7 Purdue with the ignominy of the Nevada kicker getting a schollie for his 56 yd FG then Wisc getting a 63 yd FG and Indiana looming.
3-7 with a kiss your sister tie Lions. Who cares who is looming.

The Rockets.

I'm about to go oh fer rival so shut up all you. lol
