Very good victory for the Falcons over UC on a neutral court. I wonder if this will be down year for the Bearcats. UT ith a close lost to ND and a sound victory for BG, the MAC tops teams just could have another thriller of a basketball season.

Yeah, this is clearly a down year with a cobbled together roster of transfers who were marginally decent at their previous schools (with the exception of one) and freshmen. Not sure how much that win will be worth for the Falcons in a few months.

Still a nice program win (Mac vs AAC). Also UC is long been a perennially winner, so always nice to beat them in any capacity.

What BG proved ... and MAC teams generally don't quite understand is when you get the Bearcats and the Fighting Irish in a down year YOU HAVE TO BEAT THEM ... Buffalo and Kent State aside, and now BG, MAC teams almost unanimously fail to win these games.

UB gets WVU in a down year and rides that notoriety throughout the season.

When these teams are down ... MAC TEAMS HAVE GOT TO BEAT THEM. Otherwise, you are just another one-bid team/league.
