We're it not for John Cooper (2-10-1) We would have caught TTUN in the series already
Happy Xichigan week.
On a brighter note. We will pass Xichigan on the all-tixe win percentage list should we win Saturday.

Enjoy your rivalry week. Here in NJ we are just devouring our own...again.

Wow! By just over one ten-thousandth of a point. What a tight margin. Boise St is only about one thousandth of a point ahead of them in win percentage but in half the number of games, most of which at a lower level of football. Alabama, Notre Dame, and Oklahoma are close then there’s a big drop-off.

Yeah, Boise State has an amazing record I seldom think of the broncos as a powerhouse in the same vein as Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame, USC, Texas and the rest of the gang at the top of the win percentage list but as of right now the blue turfers lead everyone.

I still remember when Cooper first arrived here, he did those stupid Big Bear grocery store commercials. You remember those, Big Ron?
He also made a comment that went something like "we need more black players". Lol, I can't remember the exact words but it was something like that.
He did start off ok, victories over Syracuse and LSU, but lost to Pitt. Hell of a non-con schedule. Bruce had West Virginia, Oregon and LSU the year before. Beating both West Virginia and Oregon and settled for a tie with LSU.

No chance Boise St will keep it up after 1300+ games. All these top schools go through thin periods of time and I suspect Boise St will at some point. It’s great now, though!

The other elite schools can afford to keep an elite coach. Boise St. can't.

My best guess is that there is far less competition for talent in Idaho. Seriously, Boise St is like Ohio State in Idaho, all of the kids want to go there. So in a conference like the Mountain West they seem to perennially have better homegrown talent than anybody else. Long story short unless they join a power 5 conference I don't see them losing a great deal with or without a great coach. You don't seem to get how hard it is to maintain a 75% win percentage after that many years. Give respect where it is due.
