I was at that game as a college student.
Same... unlike the UT win; it was in the 4q that I realized we might win. I didn't think we'd win UT till I was rippin the goal post down.
My last Tiger game in the LB (I think). I was in the South endzone seats and when you hoodlums tore the goalpost down, you broke it apart and one of the uprights got passed up in the stands, all the way to the top row. Then when it started back down, it picked up speed and nailed some girl right in the back, the jagged, broken-off end. She laid over crying, but then the crowd gathered around and I never saw what happened.
Your LAST Tiger game in person was 23 years ago?
Sad huh?
I was at this game the Bama game as well, one of those we could do no wrong, they could do no right, and we still barely won 13 to 10. It's been 30 years since I saw the football team play. Don't get to Memphis often.

We beat bama and a B12 invite will come soon. Not a stretch to say we would win. When we beat ole piss 2015 and they beat Alabama.

Crazy talk. Crazier talk, to be more precise.
Well, I guess it depends on the definition of "soon". Within a year = NO WAY! Within 3 years = possible.

I'm convinced we can score points on Bama. More than they score, I'm not so sure. But it'd be glorious to be see.
Looking like Baylor instead, perhaps, tho.

The 2 games that I keep thinking about this year are the beatdowns that Cincy and Navy took. If Bama is anywhere near Ohio State then that is going to be a tall order. We would have one common opponent in the Rebels. OM hung around early but in the end got abused.

RE: Possible Bama matchup in cotton bowl
Bama would most likely be short handed on experience as all of their NFL prospects for this draft would most likely sit out due to it not being a playoff game. The other players will be disappointed. And most of their assistant coaches will be gone getting prepped for their new head coaching or promotion gigs with other schools. If Norvell and company stay put, and we are fully staffed in all of our positions, run a few effective trick plays, and can intercept their QB a couple times, and get a kickoff return, I say we have a shot. Easy peasy.....
No one gave BSU a chance against Oklahoma years ago, but very similar circumstances to what I listed above existed and they won.
I actually say we have a better shot at a power like Bama in a game setting like this than we do against a Baylor who’ll be firing in all cylinders.

Damn and I thought it'd been a long time since I saw football live. I think I saw Memphis football live the last time in 2006 playing UAB in Birmingham while I was living in Chattanooga. I've lived in Columbia, SC now for so long. The next time they come to ECU I am going.
I know for Memphis basketball I had not seen a game since I think Memphis vs Tennessee in the Pyramid around 2000. I know it was before Calipari. Kelly Wise was on the team. I saw them finally back in 2016 when they came to play UofSC.
