Southern miss will lose to faU because FAU will play for the first place in the east
IF we win in NTX ,
We will play FAU for the cusa championship in Florida

What if that La Tech player didn't drop that pass.
Is it our density to repeat as champions?

Southern Miss is the best team in the west by far
They had a very difficult schedule compare to us
WHY THEY lose to WK
Reason #!
the southern miss players were to confident when playing WK
Your coach didnt do his job

what if we ran the ball and kicked a field goal instead of throwing an interception in the endzone?

FAU vs UAB or USM is more likely. UAB & USM both have to lose (@UNT & @FAU) for it to be La Tech. USM may be a dog at FAU but Blazers will be favored at UNT...especially after their loss to Rice

RE: *** Game Thread*** UAB vs La.Tech
Is Hopkins still a "dual-threat"? I was looking forward to watching the Tennessee "top dual-threat QB" (in the near future, not now)...am I the only one who doesn't see a significant running threat? I mean, he has RPOs (and straight options), but I don't know that defenses would need to spy him at all. Hopkins may have a better arm than TJ3 already, especially on short/medium throws, but he just looks slow when running. Definitely less moves than TJ. Maybe he's a bit hesitant at this point, but I've been disappointed with that aspect thus far.

The running threat is Jermaine and Stanley. That’s who we should plan for. Spencer is either not healthy or just doesn’t have it right now. Could be the schemes/formations we use. Don’t know what the issue is but hate that Spencer has become ineffective.
We tried a pitch to Spencer on the short side of the field on 3rd and 8. That’s a dumb@ss play call. At least have a speed back in for something like that.

Anyhow, thought the offense played well given the opponent. No turnovers from your back up qb. Clark pinned the fate of the game on the back of his defense and it worked. That dropped pass by LT over the middle saved Clark’s approach.

USM is beat up and will be a heavy underdog at FAU. USM will probably have to start their 2nd string QB. La Tech will be a heavy favorite at home against UTSA and they get their top QB and WR back for that game.
Then there's UAB. UNT may not be the UNT of last year but they still have Mason Fine who is more than capable of tearing up UAB's secondary. And UNT has a chance to play a spoiler role at home against the team that stop them from making the CG last season. And UAB hasn't been impressive on the road against decent teams and to despite their record, UNT is still a decent team and I think will show up ready to play on Saturday.
So I stand by my comment that the most likely outcome of next weekend games will result in a La Tech at FAU CG. The fact that we are even talking about UAB having a chance to play in the CG is a remarkable feat within itself. That's a testament to Clark's coaching ability. So we'll see what happens next weekend.
Simply put, La Tech has the easiest path to the CG, USM has the toughest and UAB is right in the middle.
