I'll be there cheering for the seniors.

Weather depends on the timing of the Friday cold front, but odds are it should be nice. But the fez is a game time decision.

I may be there. Flying in late from Denver on Friday night and likely won't make it to bed until 2a or so.

I might get there a little late, but I'll be there to see Rice's 2nd win in a row and bid to enter the 2020 season with one of the nation's longest win streaks.

I'll be there, but not until the women volleyball team defeats their CUSA semi-final opponent in Tudor. In other words, I'll probably make the entire second half.

That's about the same time I have so often gone home over the last few years.

I will not be making the trip south, but as usual I will be following and rooting for the Owls at home.

I hate to let a three point win over a 3-6 opponent raise my expectations too much, but I think that first taste of success will take us a long way, together with Senior Day. I think the Owls of the first half will show up again, and we will eke out another close three point win. 27-24 Owls.

Then I think we will TCOB vs UT-Westernmost and enter 2020 on a three game win streak and the jury still out on Bloomgren.

RE: ***O-fficial North Texas @ Rice pre-game, roll call, and predictions thread***
We've lost 3 straight to North Texas:

2016: 35-42
2017: 14-30
2018: 17-41

Looking at common opponents this year:

UTSA: Rice - L 27-31, NT - W 45-3. Big advantage for NT.
S. Miss: Rice - L 6-20, NT - L 27-45. Advantage Rice.
MTSU: Rice - W 31-28, NT - W 33-30. Tie.
LaTech: Rice - L 20-23 (OT), NT - L 17-52. Big advantage for Rice.

I don't see any quit in the Rice team, so I think we win one at home for the seniors in a close game: Rice wins 27-24.

RE: ***O-fficial North Texas @ Rice pre-game, roll call, and predictions thread***
Fearless Prediction:

it is a close game through three quarters when a major interruption erupts on the North Texas Sideline. UNT Coach Seth Littrell is seen screaming incessantly at his assistant coaches. An open television microphone picks up the dialog and a reporter discovers that the Mean Green team has developed an elaborate scheme to steal the sideline signals of the Rice offense. Littrell is angry because he is sure their illegal surveillance is not working due to the fact they keep seeing the Rice Coaching staff calling the same running plays again and again.... CUSA Officials are about to intervene when North Texas Alumni Jim "Mattress Mack" McIngvale gives the official a load of cash to look the other way. In the mean time, Rice takes advantage of the chaos to throw a swing pass to Aston Walter who promptly scores as Rice completes their second victory of the season 24-21 (A winning streak!). (Seriously, I'll have much better material next week when I get to write about Dana Dimel!!)

Fact check:
MTSU as a common opponent is clearly Advantage: Rice (despite the similar 3-point margins). You see, proportionally, Rice scored 52.5% of the points in our MT game, while NT only scored 52.4% against ‘em.

But I like your conclusion that we win by scoring 52.9% of the points!!!

Sitting this game out and watching it on TV from the comfort of my LR.
Very hopeful.. but not overly so.

Home game. Not too many Owl injuries. The team seems to be at a good spot.
I think we eke it out.
24-21.

Go Owls!
