Foul fest to end this one, but Rice should have this in the bag. Owls lead by double digits, under a minute to play.

Coming into this game, Adams was 16/18 (88.9%) on FT attempts and Peterson was 11/13 (84.6%). Last possession they were passing it back and forth to each other before Adams was fouled. Seems like a good strategy.

Peterson is turning into a point guard this year (at times) It's very odd and not something I would have expected before the season began. But honestly, it's been working out well. He and Moore have really improved a ton since last year.

With 14.6 seconds left, the inbound went to Mullins, who came into the game 6/14 (42.9%) on the season. Less good strategy, but he made some at the end which is a hopeful sign (3/4 the last 2 possessions for Rice).

Very nice effort against a 4-1 team and without, arguably, our best player. Beating an undefeated Liberty team without Murphy will be very hard. But as I said earlier in the week, a 2-1 tournament would be impressive. And I'm not going to sell this team short in any game we play. We have a really good mix of veteran leadership and young talent. I think Milwaukee will be better than they are projected in the Horizon League.

5-2 on the season, I'll be thrilled if they can keep up this level of play the rest of the season!

Some of Pera's post-game comments:
* Says team has some depth and he's confident playing those guys
* Compliments team's rebounding and defense
* Comments about how team didn't panic when Milwaukee came back and tied it briefly

Liberty is at 85 in Pomeroy ratings. We are 163. Evansville is in the 130s.

We could move up a lot in Pomeroy rankings if we win this tournament, which we can do.

Adams 18 points to lead us. Martin (12 points, 9 boards) almost had a double-double. Fiedler had 10 rebounds. Good games by Moore (before fouling out) and Parrish off the bench. Nice to see Tim Harrison score his first points of the season too (he and Crisler each made their only FGA). Solid win without great FT shooting, and Peterson also struggled from the field (1 of 9, including 0 of 7 in 3-pointers).
