My RING works great. Get a notice on my phone every time there is action, and I can save the video

One of my customers has one, he swears by it. I've had one incident in my neighborhood in 15 years, some kids rode around one night shooting out car windows with a bb gun. They were caught before the night was over and their parents made restitution within a week. There is virtually no crime where I live. I don't think I really need anything as elaborate as that, yet.

Have a firearm install a camera or security motion sensor with a chime/alarm in the house. Instead of calling the police the third time you can call an ambulance instead and inform the police they can close the prior two cases.

You need to track the items they steal.

They haven' stolen anything worth value, except loose change in my trucks, thankfully.

It's kids. I had my truck "opened", as it was not locked both times, and all they took was cds and loose change also. Used to keep my check book wallet in there that had a few credit cards and you could tell they searched it but didn't take any checks or credit cards. Had gas cards in there. That let me know it was neighborhood kids. The cameras will let you know who it is, and most likely is someone in your hood. You can take care of things yourself.

I hope it's not kids! They like to break into homes around here, and kill people who interrupt their "fun".

Sounds like they start early round your way. Move.

I had a couple of car break in several years ago. I put a fake security sign out by the driveway and have had no further issues. Generally thieves are looking for the easiest marks. Lots of good suggestions above also.

Since Claymores are a bit extreme, I would suggest the game cameras because they work well for capturing the moment. However if you could rig a sprinkler near the vehicles to go off with a motion detector and place a hose bottle of ginseng violet between the sprinkler head and the hose, you can paint the SOB's purple and that should make it easy for even lazy cops to find the perps. You can say I'm not sure what race they were but they'll be purple. You generally have wear ginseng violet off.

To me that means they're on something and trying to get whatever money they can easiest.
