$800,000 per year per school ... I wonder if it is possible to compare game revenues from an all-Saturday schedule with the current Saturday-weekday setup. I would exclude o-o-c games and just focus on home MAC games.
I've also asked this before, but how much of that $800,000 goes into producing the content for ESPN?

That said, I like being able to watch NIU on TV, since with age it's harder to get to games even on Saturdays. But I also recognize that the younger generations, especially current students, are becoming detached from the in-person experience. It's just easier to turn on the tube/computer/whatever.

Don't know the answer, but also don't see a change from current.

Each MAC school sacrifices two Saturday home games a year for Maction. If each ticket sold generates an average of $40 in revenue, the schools would need to sell 20,000 additional tickets (or 10,000 each game) to equal the $800K paid by ESPN. That's a tall order for most every MAC school including us.

Thanks. I did not think of doing it so easily. Still wonder how the $800,000 is spent ... I can't see ESPN fully staffing all those games, plus all the other sports events that get on. Money must go to in-house production at each school.

Also, I am not trying to launch another board tirade about the tv contract. As I said, easier for me, but not so good for whole fan base.

"I interviewed several MAC fans about their experiences attending MACtion games."

So 1/2 the stadium?

Bottom line is MACtion sucks for fans who would like to/can only watch their team IN PERSON on a Saturday.

Lynch's Senior Night vs WMU and the 2017 game against (i think) Ball State or WMU were just brutal cold. Yesterday was some of the best weeknight weather for a game in a long time.
