There is no money in news anymore. Why would anyone spend money on that today? My biggest hold out was the crossword puzzle... now even that is online for free. Last time I bought a paper was for an obituary 5 years ago. Id be more apt to buy a neightborhood paper. Not a regional paper, not a peninsula paper, not a Newport News paper, but a paper telling me stories about my neighbors and what is going on in the neighborhood. The rest of the stuff is free. I don't even care about the ODU coverage. By the time a story hits the paper, we have been discussing it for days, if not weeks. I can understand why the old media is failing. Simply no value and the politics is the same in just about every paper acrossthe country... we get it... orange man bad. More likely to get an original thought from the cashier at Food Lion.
