The Salvation Army is probably one of the most efficiently run organizations for helping the down and out ever. From mostly volunteer labor to getting the most dollars and % of dollars to those in need.
Yeah damn fine job by the leftist, something to really be proud of huh?
It has always been one of my favorite charities, partly for the reasons you listed. I had no idea about their views on same sex marriage.
I disagree with them, but support their right to have a different view, based on their religious beliefs, which is a freedom we should never truncate.
I will continue to donate to them.

This is their mission statement:
The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination
The left are totalitarian thought police. I'm not against gays people in any fashion but I detest capitulation to bullies.

Quote: Matthew 19 New International Version (NIV)
Divorce
19 When Jesus had finished saying these things, he left Galilee and went into the region of Judea to the other side of the Jordan. 2 Large crowds followed him, and he healed them there.
3 Some Pharisees came to him to test him. They asked, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any and every reason?”
4 “Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’[a] 5 and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’[b]? 6 So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
7 “Why then,” they asked, “did Moses command that a man give his wife a certificate of divorce and send her away?”
8 Jesus replied, “Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning. 9 I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery.”
10 The disciples said to him, “If this is the situation between a husband and wife, it is better not to marry.”
11 Jesus replied, “Not everyone can accept this word, but only those to whom it has been given. 12 For there are eunuchs who were born that way, and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by others—and there are those who choose to live like eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it.”

The LGBTQ movement is simply anti anything that takes Biblical authority for their faith seriously. They hate anything that calls their lifestyle immoral.
But that’s the crazy thing. I’ve been to many churches and none of them preach hate about gays. Just love. But I reckon you’d have to go to get that.
But they just can't grasp that Christianity proclaims that we should condemn the sin and love the sinner. God simply doesn't want to see his children engage in things destructive for them, and that is because God loves them. It's sad but today ignorance and superstition win out over truth every time. It's the there are none so blind as those who refuse to see aspect.
Not lost on me in all of this is how Chic-fil-a has started down the slippery slope of abandoning their principles. They have abandoned two organizations who were as faithful and uncompromising as Chic-fil-a has been. What's it going to be next? Are they going to decide to open on Sundays for extra profit? Sad to see quite frankly as it will not end well. You are either faithful or you are not. There is no in between.
It doesn’t have any thing to do with loving them. They just want everyone to proclaim THEM as the normal ones. It’s all of us heterosexual god fearing folk that are somehow deviant.
Exactly right.

When everything was destroyed by hurricane Katrina there were two trucks providing food for people that were working and those in need. One was charging $3 for sandwiches. The other just a few yards away was handing sandwiches out for free. One was the Red Cross and the other The Salvation Army.
I will always feel good about donating my hard earned money to the SA. The Red Cross? Not so much.

They can just donate under a different name?
Also, I'll just assume all those complaining will now pick up the slack and help out the homeless/less fortunate now that the SA will not be receiving the funds from CFA?

And I've not seen any 55 year old grandmothers who dared question her bill at CFA body-slammed so hard by a savage madman that she suffered multiple fractures and broken ribs, all while his savage co-workers danced with their arms raised as they watched on.
There's a lowest common denominator in the many of the Popeye's stories we see popping up that would be considered in bad form to bring up...

This move is going to cost Chik-fil-a where it hits them the hardest. The employees.
What makes Chik-fil-a special is not the sandwich (although it is good) it is the service.
This move may turn away future good employees. If they continue down this path I foresee them opening on Sundays also. When that occurs they are just another run of the mill fast food joint.
