E-mail saying tailgate starts 3 hours before game time. I was hoping to set up at 2:30 PM- anyone know if getting in early will be a problem? Stevenson Lawn. Thx

People usually get in before official open time. You may have to drive around the sign or push the sign slightly out of the way. Another option is just unload your car, park in the Stevenson dorm lot for an hour til the lot officially opens.

I think this is new this year with the donor lots only open for three hours on weeknight games. Used to be three hours for Convo and 5 hrs for donor.

OLine depth chart. Surprised they are starting Z at RG, this will be his 4th game and last game to play to qualify as redshirt. At LG, true FR Leif Engstrand is listed behind Veloz.

Tomorrow, look for the Bowers/Childers/Thompson combo at QB.

And, I'll have the taco combo from the local Mexican jernt during the game. I can get chicken, steak and pork!.

NIU 31, EMU 22.

And me? not much sleep due to indigestion that 6 tums can't fix. In a very weird way, I'm looking forward to it. What the hell is wrong with me :).

NIU has gotten so lucky in this series the past few years that I have a terrible feeling they don't get it done tonight. Eventually EMU gets them and this seems like a logical time.

EMU 27
NIU 20

Looks like rain/snow and cold for tonight. Perfect weather for Childers.

Wgn weath app says 10% rain. Last game was 20-40 and we got 100%.

This is crushing my soul.

Homecoming was a blast. I made my annual pilgrimage to the great north expected a nice late fall day. 45 degrees in a monsoon...hey, at least NIU won big, that's all that counts. And the beer stayed cold.

I predicted it well over a month ago. I’m a better meteorological prognosticator than MD. Bow down before your new master, MD!!

Anybody suspended? Cole?

Bowers is listed as "or" with Childers in the 2-deep for this game, which is the last page oh the weekly press release.

https://niuhuskies.com/documents/2019/11...f?id=15826

No one is suspended as far as I know.

One of the captains for tonight is the “backup” QB. Interesting...

I think Childers gets the start. Cold and wet, Childers type of weather.

Hopefully the D shows up this game. Credit to Rattin playing at LB as a true freshman. He knows that EMU will be keying on him becuase of his size and inexperience, but the kid plays tough.

The Weather Chanel hourly forecast: kick off the temp. is between 36-34 and by 10 pm 32. Wind is between 2-4 mph for the whole game, and there is 0% chance of precipitation until 8 pm when it goes up to 5% and at 10 pm it goes up to 10%.

https://weather.com/weather/hourbyhour/l...ea3028e912

If Bowers is healthy he should start, with Childers coming in at the correct situations, like last game. If Bowers can't pass effectively in this weather he should not be our QB starting in late Oct./early Nov. Don't forget, he played high school football in Bothell, WA, which while not as cold as here it is not California weather.

Good points, i.e., "if it ain't broke don't fix it." No reason a change can't be made during the game as needed. Wind and rain may not be big factors at least early on.
