Yeah we knew this team was young and they had been playing beyond their years thus far. Better for them to stumble now than later. Sucks to lose to the Pukes at home but we know we’re better than we played tonight. Only thing to do is learn from it and look towards the upcoming tournament. Too little, too late to salvage tonight.

JJ's post game interview was pretty telling. Sounds like a couple or a few of the guys are not taking the coaching and are in for a "talking to".

Getting concerned about Ezipke. Was hoping he would make the leap this year. Still time to turn it around.

Offense was fine tonight. Well over 1 ppp. Defense was the issue tonight.

And we had more shots bc they had 21 more free throws and 8 more turnovers.

Difference was made 3s.

Curry and wader were pretty good tho wade needs to hit his freebies and pass up 3s.

Well that was depressing for a long time...then it was amazing, and then quickly, really depressing again. Dang.

ODU has had a stream of "athletes" who never learn how to shoot. They generally play good D and rely on dunks or put backs. I've often wondered how/why an athletically gifted kid doesn't learn how to shoot, make free throws or dribble.

You don't have to look any further than Xavier Green.

To a lesser extent, Haynes was not a good shooter but improved at shooting while at ODU. Caver became a good shooter. Bacote became a decent shooter. All were more athlete than shooter coming in.

Tonight he proved my point. Lousy game. TO's, missed shots, missed lay ups, really bad game.

My knee jerk reaction is this should be a lesson to all those who left with 3 min to go. Never, ever assume a college basketball game is over until it's mathematically impossible to win.

Losing to JMU is probably going to be the low point of the season. This will be the worst loss on our record. Those of you (and me) who complain about the quality of this conference, we just contributed to it being a one bid league.

We knew we would struggle early in the season, but losing to JMU at home is inexcusable. Really disappointed in this team tonight.

After all the spinning is over, I'm left with a strong sense of deja vue. Missed lay ups, over and over, best 3 point shooters lousy, missed free throws. This is a recurring theme ever since BT coached here and JJ is simply continuing the pattern.

If not for Wade and Curry, we'd have been demolished.

JMU beating ODU and Charlotte makes CUSA worse than the CAA. ODU beating Northeastern on the road is of no effect.

Charlotte also beat Wake Forest and Davidson, so I guess that it what will make the ACC and A-10 worse than CUSA (ODU also beat St. Joe's but again, no effect).

To cap it all off, there's not enough beer in the fridge to drink away that roller-coaster ending.
