Defense is optional in that game, it appears.

RE: Are the Chips throwing the game?
Yeesh, I thought for sure BSU won.
MAC is sooooo crazy this year. I keep hearing 'the MAC is bad this year', but I think it's the parity. It's making for a fun season. We beat OU in OT, KSU rallies vs UB, CMU rallies vs BSU, UT rallies vs NIU but just comes up short. Means we can't take NIU for granted.
Also, I keep hearing from Bronco fans who are concerned CMU won, but we've been bailed out multiple times. We needed BSU to have 2 losses. They did. We needed CMU to have 2 losses. They did. We needed Toledo to have 3 losses. They did. We needed to have EMU to have 3 losses. They did.
Everyone who we needed to lose lost MULTIPLE times.
We need to stop saying we need help. Because we don't! Win, and we're in.

RE: Are the Chips throwing the game?
I believe CMU winning now eliminates any chance of a scenario where we back into a West title before our NIU game. Though that scenario had a slim chance of happening anyhow.
As some suspected before the season, CMU’s rebound illustrates that Bono likely lost the locker room last season, and weren’t as bad as their 1-11 record indicated.
Need to take care of business in DeKalb, never an easy task even when NIU is “down.”

We whacked Georgia St, who's up 21-7 and dominating vs #25 Appalachian St and controlling their destiny for the SunBelt.

I’d like a do-over with EMU and Toledo, but glad games vs CMU and GSU are behind us... feels like those would be more nail-biters instead of blowouts if we played them again.

His wife being banned from Kelly-Shorts being a good piece of evidence. They also brought in some good player the off-season. Thankfully, they're not recruiting that great, but good-coaching can get you Ws.
Another example they were a bowl team the year prior.
Also, while the turn-around is very impressive, definitely not unheard of. WMU 2013 to WMU 2014, Georgia St 2018 to 2019 couple examples I can think of immediately.

Prior to our game, yes. But, not entirely.
Toledo loses to Buffalo, but beats CMU
NIU loses to EMU
The BSU loss actually cleans up some of the mud.
JUST WIN BRONCOS!

Exactly. Plus, A CMU win over Toledo is not for sure by any means. We need to take care of business at NIU. Period.
