The wrong players are shooting the ball.........James has zero shots for the game!!!!!!! Montero should be taking these as well! That's the problem!!!!!!!

Montero just needed tougher competition apparently. 14-4-3 on over 60% shooting.

I realize not everyone's watching the game! After A timeout, Montero gets the ball, and hits a 3, and a 2! He should be the guy shooting 3's! Groce has played well, but he's much more effective inside 15 feet! 46-41 EMU!

We struggle but win...

We were I believe a 9 point underdog in a game which was expected, and was, low scoring. Nine points was too much for this type of game.

Better competition ahead!!!!!! Defense looks good, but offensively we today struggled big time!!!!! Have to get the right players shooting the 3's, and that'll help a ton! Groce was 2-10 on 3's, and that's not what we need!

Groce had a 'hyper' game. He shot a lot (too many treys), rebounded, had steals, had assists, had turnovers (too), etc.

Nice win to start the season 1-0. We'll see how well they can improve over the next few weeks (I'm still skeptical after seeing Murphyball underachieve the last few years).

Enjoy listening to Chad. If/when the ageless George Blaha ever retires from the Pistons I think Chad should get consideration for that gig.

Murphy’s post game interview with Chad was really something. I haven’t heard that much excitement from him since we beat Michigan 5 years ago. He went on for at least 5 minutes after Chad’s first question, talking about how proud he is of these guys, with none of his usual “generic” answers that we are used to. You can tell he loves this team.

He has a very good shooting form, I always felt his 3 point shooting was a confidence issue as in the past, he was usually benched immediately after missing one. Apparently, however, he does not have the shooting eye I thought he had. My bad and I admit it.

Wish I could, but I didn’t see one minute of it and only caught the last few minutes on the radio. Morgan, Groce, and James made some clutch free throws though. That has always been our Achilles heel, and it was nice to see Morgan ice the game like that.

They only scored 4 points in the final 4 minutes of the game. That’s impressive, any way you slice it. Our boys will be going to Jamaica with a ton of confidence.
