Can we please start calling him "Herculeg" now? Holy crap what a comeback. There have been a lot of Kent teams that have had a lot of quit in them. This team does not.

It looked like the knee was down at 1 second, but the whistles were clearly blowing at 3 seconds left. I could be wrong, but I think the refs were blowing it dead because his forward progress was stopped. Seemed pretty quick, but my guess is they saw him wrapped up by several guys and were trying to prevent Buffalo from holding him off the ground to let the clock run out.

And now that we know Shaw is “turning pro”, what’s the deal with McKoy? Held out again as a “coaches decision”, he’s got a lot of talent and would like to see him take that next step up instead of working his way out of town.

“I told the guys in the locker room I think this is one of those moments we’re going to point to where we finally broke through,” said Lewis. “It’s a program-changing win that we needed, where their hard work and dedication really paid off. When we do things the right way, great things like this can occur. This group needs to believe in themselves, and now I think there’s tremendous belief.

“This ain’t the old Kent State. If there’s time on the clock, we’re going to continue to fight and we’re going to find a way to win.”

Polish Hammer, I don't know why McKoy was held out, or why Jo-el was forced to "turn pro", but after that sickening ending to the Browns game last night I have to say that I've had it "up to here" with the number of college and professional athletes who screw up one way or the other, on or off the field or court. Yeah, I know high maintenance athletes are still the minority,

They had McKoy listed as a starter on the TV graphic at the beginning of the game. I wondered why I didn't hear his name after that.

Great win. This season has felt different. Nice to be in most games and not blow out every game.

Maybe we could go bowling if we didn't have three P5 games a year.

I have DVR'd every game on TV in the last I don't know how many years. Last night, I went to bed in the 3rd qtr. and deleted the recording, thinking "I'm not going to need this"........

I couldn't believe what I read this morning. I'm still stunned (and kicking myself for deleting it)!

During the Central Michigan game in 2017, I said I was done with negativity towards Kent State Football. I was only going to put out positive thoughts. They ended up winning that game.

Let's do Kent State Football a favor and if you have negative thought, flip it to the opposite. I believe something powerful is happening at Kent State and winning will merely be a by product.

From the replays, it looked like the players on the field outnumbered the fans in the stadium - though after being down 27-6 in the fourth quarter on a sub-freezing Thursday night in November, I wouldn't blame anyone. Anyone who stayed to the end should get an award

Later in the game the announcers mentioned Shaw and also mentioned McKoy was sitting his 2nd game as a coaches decision. Losing your leading RB and WR is no small loss, so I’m sure Lewis had good reason and I trust in him.

Can't remember the RB that started last year, but he could run and catch. I thought he had another year of eligibility??? Is he hurt, or did he graduate?

Justin Rankin. He transfered to a D2 powerhouse in Missouri (I forget the school). I was looking at his stats last weekend. Nearing 1000 yards rushing on the season. His team has 1 loss and is ranked somewhere around 10 in thr D2 standings and play an undefeated team this week. Rankin was always one of my favorite players. He put up some pretty solid numbers on some really bad offenses.

Excellent! Now that we have this movement started here's what we do. We make T-shirts and sell them in front of the next game. After last night it's sure to be a sellout. We need something everyone can get behind.

First just your basic "Matthew Trickett: Herculeg" with some graphic of him throwing lightening bolts out of his foot or something.

Next we go for the commemorative shirt it will say "11/14/19 On this day Herculeg single-leggedly defeated Buffalo". Maybe a graphic of him riding a Bull and holding a flame thrower.

Lastly, we have to pull in the political crowd. Just a simple, "Herculeg for AD: 2021". Maybe on the back say something like "Kick'im to the curb". That'll get the anti-Nielsen dollars pouring in.

We use the massive cash flow we rake in to start a Heisman campaign for next season. "Herculeg for Heisman" has a pretty good ring to it. I'm talking billboards in every major city. You start on the T-shirts I'll get a table for us to put them on.

Every legendary kicker needs a legendary nickname!
