Buffalo @ Kent State
Today is game day and military appreciation night at the stadium. Unfortunately for the Flashes tonight is also Browns vs Steelers on Thursday night football. Both attendance and ratings are going to take a hit from this game. I do find it interesting that both games are featuring a 5-4 away team up against a 3-6 team home. Hopefully both home teams get the win tonight.

Not a good situation tonight. Going up against Browns/Steelers, freezing cold. Just tough. [/align]

I realize that the game was probably scheduled before the time and day of the Browns game was set, but if the Kent athletic department didn't do all they could to try to have the game re-scheduled as soon as the Thursday night NFL game schedule came out, then that is yet another example of the department being less than they should be.

They just knew there wasnt a conflict with Field Hockey so they ran with it.

It is really too bad - wanted to go but couldn't justify the getaway. If weather warm sup will make BSU game. Saw pictures of Akron's game the other night - someone claimed there were less than 100 in the stands not counting the band - still the listed attendance was over 10K?

My hope is that we can slow the Bulls rushing attack - UB has a lot to play for in this one. Would be great to grab two of th last the heading in to next year. Looks like OU and Ut won't be going to Detroit

Despite the announced attendance of 10811, I think the number was closer to 67, with 65 being family members and comped...unfortunately we won’t have much more at the game tonight.

Can’t even see the “crowd” or lack there of; actually smart production as they’re mostly keeping the cameras zoomed in on the field (which looks nice BTW).

Jo-el Shaw just tweeted he’s declaring for the NFL draft.
Right.

RE: Buffalo @ Kent State
With no eligibility left it’s kind of silly to declare for the draft.

Run to the line of scrimmage like a bunch of yahoos. False start because one of the lineman can’t get set. And follow that up with an interception that might just finish this off for the night.

There’s a difference between good coaching and out coaching yourself. Slowdown make sure you have the right play in and keep yourself in the ball game.

The football program has improved under the new coach, but the progress is glacially slow. I suppose that's better in the long run than some "quick fix".

No, he was booted weeks ago. He played 2 years of JUCO, played last year and 7 games this year so he’s done, no need to “declare” for the draft.

Thanks, Polish Hammer. His chances of being drafted in any case are virtually nil.

I’ll disagree with that assessment in this situation as that’s his style and the tempo he wants to maintain. I do find it idiotic though when they have them motioning all around like a Chinese fire drill and not fooling the defense one bit and just tiring your own players out. They’ll usually do that a play or two every game.

It just sounds better than “I’m dropping out of school.”

RE: Buffalo @ Kent State
I get it we’re now on the scoreboard, but find the decision to kick there poor. It’s 17-0 at home and you’re inches from a 1st down. If you can’t get that then the game might as well be over anyway.
