I was just about to say that exactly! A different team, and I might eat my words, but Chris James is the most talented player on this team!!!!! You don't get selected FIRST team all state in California unless you're special! Kawhi Leonard, James Harden, and Russell Westbrook were all FIRST team all state!!!!! How did Murphy land him?

Everything I thought about this team went out the window tonight!!!!!! We looked terrible against A NAIA team! We lost the 2nd half........embarrassing!

We didn't play with a killer instinct but I don't think it means too much.

Yeah the second half our offense struggled no outside shoots falling alot of uncontested 3s on defense

Maybe, Murphy had his focus on the North Texas game! They've some talent on that team!!!!!! This win worries me.......We looked offensively like last year!

Rough game. I was curious to see how we would look when the shots weren’t falling, and I have my answer. Things got sloppy and we looked like a classic Murphy offense.

I think the rotation will slowly shrink a bit, as it usually does, around conference play. James and Barnes will get more and more minutes, while Spottsville gets less and less. They’re the best scorers on the team and need to have at least 25 minutes a night each.

Hoping for the best on Saturday, but North Texas is no slouch. Need our shots to fall, or it could get ugly.

Murphy has landed two other freshman as talented as James, Lee and Thompson!!!!!! Can he coach one finally up?

Hopefully this game was an aberration. I am expecting a loss at N Texas. It won’t be easy to play another game in only 2 days while traveling down to Texas in between.

Also, Chris James was first team Allstate two years in a row according to his bio on the EMU site. Glad he is faring well, but really curious how we managed to get him here.

RAMYEMU, I've been wondering the exact same thing!!!!!! Murphy recruiting magic????? 1st team all state from A big school with A state that has 40 million people, doesn't make sense!!!!!! He should've had multiple offers.......He's a great basketball player, especially for an 18 year old, who didn't go to prep school either!!!!! Leonard, Westbrook, George, and Harden were all 1st team all state California players!!!!!

Is Parris off the team?

I have an analogy for the board:

A football season, a basketball season, the Washington Nationals' baseball season, etc. are like the STOCK MARKET: Up one day and down the next.

If there are 250 trading days for the stock market within a year, being up 150 and down 100 is probably a good year.

Or each game is a data point. So far we've had 3 data point out of approximately 30.

Agree with all the comments re Chris James
Its a long season so I expect Paris to play at some Point
Not alot of passing second half more of the one on five Need to avoid that and be patient

What I would suggest for Coach Murphy is to allow a couple Lincoln kids to walk on to our team if they have 'walk on ability.'

Murphy usually has 2 or 3 players as walk-ons and no reason they can't come from Lincoln.

Most of this team has never played at this level expect some ups and down but hopefully positive growth as season goes on
