Great job on the signing front from Genny and the coaching staff. We were clearly recruiting for need, recognizing the holes we needed to fill with our 6 departing seniors.

RE: 2020 Volleyball NLI
Not a surprise that 4 of the 5 hail from Texas. This state just has so much talent now in girls volleyball. The difference between volleyball and basketball at the club level in Texas is astonishing. I don't want to say all of the best athletes are now playing volleyball, but it's definitely trending that direction. I've heard very good things about Courtley (who hails from the same high school as Nicole Lennon). McCardell's Ridge Point team just beat Cinco Ranch in the 3rd round of the playoffs last night. We lose some great seniors but three of our best players are underclass so I do think volleyball will be good again next year - maybe not quite as the level they are currently but if some of these players contribute right away, we should remain an NCAA-caliber squad.

McCardell and Ridge Point are headed back to the state Final Four. It would be an upset for them to win the state title but the team is playing really well in the playoffs.

We also have a VB commit from Southern California (6-0 hitter Lola Foord - she's a junior and is Class of 2021) who is playing in a state championship out there tomorrow. Foord has led South Pasadena to the Division III state championship where they will play Lowell of San Francisco.
