No it doesn’t. You are simply trying to imply our coaches are backwards. Wrong.

A dead period ONLY means no in person contact. Does not mean you can’t attend a tournament. Every school in several states will have coaches there. Put it this way Boo Williams is all about getting his kids in college. He WOULD NOT schedule a tournament where college coaches could not attend.

Coaches cannot talk in person during a dead period. BUT they still talk on the phone, text, email, all other forms of communications, except in person.

I understand this. That was MY point.

It’s important for recruits to know our coaches are there, and there to see them. They’ll know who is there. Eye contact will be made, Boo and whoever else will know. I remember going to a Boo tournament in Newport News many years ago during a dead period and Coach K was sitting in the bleachers 3 spots down from me just chilling like any other fan.

Damn all this time I thought "dead period" was referring to JJ's recruiting efforts!

I went to many Boo Williams tournaments. There were many times when coaches were not allowed.

I just looked at the ODU recruiting board, and of course JJ is in a land he can't survive. He lost 2 more Bigs to LSU and New Mexico (2021). This is a recruiting thread, and I only report what I see. Wood should cut the budget, as JJ is wasting good money for player's he will never get. You must be a die hard JJ fan. I sure you was not a fan, in the good days when we met Sunday's to see who we would be playing in the NCAA. you dumb a$$ I accept a new coach, who can recruit at a higher level.
