What in the heck are you trying to say? Average height of a SG in the NBA is 6’5”.

and the average height of our entire team is 6-5"
So now we comparing our team with a couple small walkon guards with a NBA team. Apples and oranges.
My thoughts exactly.

Obviously size works well for them!

Stop whining about height. The roster for next year (with only known recruits and transfers) will have 7 players 6-6" or taller. 7 of 13 scholarships. Over half the team.
You are a frickin parrot with like 2 or 3 phrases, "Awwwk We don't have no height" "awwk JJ only recruits shorties"

Has any team in Div 1 college basketball ever started 5 PG's?

No clue but it won't be ODU since they may not even have 3 PGs next year.
Curry and Strother graduate after this season. That leaves Hunter and whoever they recruit in 2021.

A couple of my favorite basketball teams ever came close:
Rany Foye
Allan Ray
Kyle Lowery
Mike Nardi
Will Sheridan (big man)
All playd around 30 mins per game. That team was fun and essentially 4 point guards.
Bob SUra
Sam Caseell
Charlie Ward

If/when the NBA restarts, the Houston Rockets are going to play a lot of minutes with no one bigger than 6'6" on the floor. I think it's important to have some size, but the old days of absolutely having two guys bigger than 6'8" at all times on the floor is well in the past.

Whether discussing having two guys bigger than 6'8" on the floor at all times, or having no one bigger than 6'6" on the floor, nothing in basketball is an absolute. A coach will seek the players that best suit the style of play he wants to coach, and they don't all coach the same style of play.

I bet Houston shoots better than 40% as a team from the floor and 69% from the free throw! That is why we need big men, we simply can't shoot! Lay-ups/dunks are higher percentage then 20' jump shots!

Tried posting this earlier, not sure if it failed or if it was removed for being off-topic (apologies if it's the latter): Hampton's Ben Stanley, who averaged 22 points and 7 boards a game while shooting 57 percent from the field, has entered the transfer portal. Not sure if ODU has a good play on the guy, who you have to think is going to generate P5 interest, but we do have a scholarship. Presuming he wouldn't be eligible until 2021-22.
It also might provide a clue about how and if Hampton is going to proceed with fall/winter sports after announcing that it was going online-only for the fall semester.

Do you really think any ODU fans or potential recruits (unless friends with) give a damn about what 2 former players who couldnt sack up and follow team rules have to say?

Maybe. If I were looking at working for a new company and had a chance to ask a former employee what it was like, Id certainly listen. Even if I didnt take everything they said as gospel, it would impact my decision. Got think it would be similar in basketball recruiting. And I guess their side of the story isnt that they couldn't hack it and broke a lot of team rules.

Yep, if you want to break team rules and care more about yourself than the team. Don't transfer to Old Dominion.

Terrible apporach in regards to these players who were dismissed (fired).
Hope you wouldnt let an employee who was lazy and got fired from said company have any impact on your decision.

I would have to figure out if they really did get fired for being lazy, or if there was really a different reason. I know nothing of these guys personal situation, but I would imagine their "friends" would listen to a players perspective and believe them over some official university line given to them by a coach or administrator. What we would need is other players and high school coaches to back up the ODU position and confirm that the guys were lazy. If thats the case.
